Supreme Cmdr
For those of you who either never played it, don't play it anymore etc, here is how you can revive the urge. [*]Install FS2 from the CD-ROM [*]Install the patch. You can get it at several places. e.g. over on Avault [*]Install the FSOpen updates [*]If you want to play multiplayer, go here for access to the PXO replacement server. Have fun!! Black Wolf
Interesting. Not that long ago, you were bagging the SCP, now you promote it. Was it anything specific that changed your mind?

EdGardner-MGT
Hey, I still have an account here! Forgot I registered when I picked up a couple copies of your games. Good stuff, FS2 was. The FS2 Source Code Project appreciates the nod. Folks who are interested, drop by the HLP forums if you run into snags, lots of problems solved there (the PXO replacement is not perfect, and, well, neither is the 3.6.5 release, corrected soon). Not sure I have seen that setup site before, I need to add it to the SCP links page. One does have to wonder what the news might be
LostInSpace
Greetings EdGardner-MGT. I was also checking out that star wars mod for FS2 Star Wars Conversion OMG that looks gorgeous. I gotta fire up the old FS2 once I get done with a few other games. Been busy with so many other things I never realized there was such a community for FS2. John Prezioso
It's amazing how the FS2 community is still thriving. Gotta love the hardcore...

EdGardner-MGT
They're a fiesty lot, those FS2 players We've had some pretty dedicated young programmers submit material to the SCP. It's not perfect, but it's fun

shihminhao
A new FS game~ That's what I think "important news"... But SC has spare time to do FS3?? I mean UCAWA and UCG must keep SC busy right now...
Joel Schultz
So where can one get the FS2 game CD-ROM without having to sell one's own mother and spleen? I saw it going for $70+ somewhere on the 'net. That's ridiculous, especially for a game that old. I thought prices go down as a game ages... But unless it's a first edition and signed, I wouldn't pay $70 bucks for it.

Shadow5731
If yo owned the FS original, or used to have the FS2 cd's.....ask around...maby ones who have them will let you 're-live' the moment there for FS2...
Shadow5731
(I'm NOT saying that I would allow a copy to transfer mind-you....I have an original here too)...) I meant is this: If you can get it, then simply can participate is all ...FS2 is a pretty good game there, I liked it alot too as well, but if you have it..upgrade and whatnot, then see what happens...for FS2, used to be part of a Fleet there as well before it flopped... Guest $iLk
Underdog's version is horrible because it cuts video and most audio. Look for the 2 - 3 CD version floating around on BT.
