Case Posted July 18, 2006 Report Share Posted July 18, 2006 It somewhat allows for similiar scenarios, but is more useful. You run your regular OS, but then you can fire up virtual instances of OS's inside of virtual PC. So, you could have your install of WinXP up and running, and fire up a copy of Windows 98, or DOS, for gaming with older games. In the past, I have always used it for development; you can have a whole dev environment running on a single pc (database server, web server, etc.) Oh ya, make sure you have plenty of RAM. (Yet another good mac company sucked into the blackhole that is M$... Bungie being the other major one, which was worse as Bungie was the ONLY good mac primary game developer... sometimes Apple can be really stupid...
