LostInSpace
I notice they failed to mention any puncture wounds that would occur to the planes hull if they fired them weapons.

Pucture wounds to the fuselage of a plne are Myths to say the least. If I took a 357 magnum, and at 40,000 feet shot all 6 rounds into the wall, the plane would lose VERY little pressure, and nothing explosive would occur. As a matter of fact, if I put a piece of duct tape over the hole, the plane could continue to fly at 40,000 feet until it reached it's destination. The whole puncture thing is a joke, ask ANY aeronautical engineer, then again, the pliticians don't want you to know that...
Freyar
In anycase, a pressure loss isn't too drastic isn't it? You can survive for a bit at that altitude, providing you get the oxygen on....
Zane_Marlowe
Well, Everest is about 29k' and change. You wouldn't want to stay up there that long. On the other hand, standard cruising altitude is normally like 30-35k' for longer flights I think.
