Martin Wiinholt
Has anyone heard of a sound mod for the game ?The squaky female voice that says 'PTA system active' is driving me crazy, and most of the others could do with an update (it seems like the same voices that we found in BC3K..).Also, engine sounds are quite weak, and the main gun sounds like a handgun. I'd fancy a deep rumble that put my subwoofer to work
JAY
I think everyone’s too busy playing to make any mods up yet.... give it time and those wonder modders out there will start tinkering or do something.
Menchise
quote:I'd fancy a deep rumble that put my subwoofer to workWhy is it called a subwoofer? As far as I know, it's just one big bass speaker.
Guest $iLk
You can change the voice, just create a new wav file using any voice you want, approx the same size, and place it in the install path folder where the .zip file resides. Then name it the same as the wav in the zip you want to replace.
Martin Wiinholt
Hey, thanks for the tip! Perhaps I should make my own stand-in voices until someone with a more professional attitude comes along.
Soback
I got the one where Resnig says "Marines are engaged in combat on deck 2" here's something more politicaly correct "Marines are sensibly asking intruders to leave deck 2"
IRSWalker
Is it possible to change the names of the bridge officers and pilots?
Guest $iLk
I don't think so, at least not easily.

Guest $iLk
I'm pretty sure if you hacked the EXE, but then you aren't going to be able to update your game easily. I wish you could too, but there is probably a program related call function that makes it impossible.
Urza
I program too, so I know the hassles of changeing something the game is built around, but still, it would be a nice feature.

I don't foresee that happening this century.TTFN[ 12-06-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
jango
Guys, is there an easy way to replace the music. I created new mp3's and just renamed them to the same filenames in the music folder. Obviously, it didn't work and was wondering if any of you had success. Thanks. Rico Jansen
It's in the trouble shooting faq (bcmfaq.html).
jango
Never mind, figured it out. Properties just doesn't edit mp3 id tags correctly. I just used winamp and it works perfectly now. Thanks.
Rico Jansen
like it says, wasn't any need to change the name. just place them along the rest.
