Ben Zwycky
I have never seen any servers visible via the lobby, even when they are visible in the in-game browser. I mentioned this to Eclipse, and he says he hasnÔÇÖt seen any servers in the lobby either. I tried running my own local server, and at the end of the startup sequence I received the following messages: Server (10.100.14.13:2304) MP0000 Init Succeeded GameCQ: Could not load the GCQInterface DLL This message appears in both console mode and graphics mode. Supreme Cmdr
Works just fine. I just loaded the lobby and could see three UCAWA servers online. I just started a local and internet server and they loaded just fine. If you didn't install the GameCQ lobby software correctly, then you need to re-install it. There are several registry keys that the GameCQ installer creates. If they are incorrect, then it won't find that DLL. e.g. quote:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE3000adGCQServices] "Path"="folder where GameCQ is installed" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE3000adUniversal Combat A World Apart] "path"="folder where game is installed" "program"="ucmpGCQ.exe" "version"="1.00.04" "postcommand"="/logchat" "lobbyprogram"="GCQL.exe" "lobbypath"="folder where GameCQ is installed"
Ben Zwycky
Hmmm. The path variable is not present in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE3000adUniversal Combat A World Apart]. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling, but talking to Jack on Teamspeak, he doesn't have that variable in his registry either. Anyone else? Supreme Cmdr
Its not required for UCAWA; but you can try adding it to see if that makes a difference. I doubt it.
Ben Zwycky
No, no difference. Uninstalled/reinstalled both, no change- annoying. Doesn't matter that much, as we can still start the game using the Join server shortcut.
Eclipse
I tried hosting a server both with the console and graphical, they both show up in the server list, no DLL issues. The problem I had with the servers not showing up was do to me not putting GCQ to the right lobby.
Ben Zwycky
OK, uninstall/reinstall did solve the DLL issues, but I still can't see any servers in the lobby. How exactly did you "put GCQ to the right lobby", if you'll excuse my total incompetence?
Supreme Cmdr
First click on the Lobby button. You should then see several lobbies depending on which game (UC, UCAWA, UCG, UCO) you have installed. Choose a lobby (e.g. UCAWA). Then press the Play button to display the servers for that lobby. This is in the GameCQ documentation as well as in the UCAWA manual btw.

Supreme Cmdr
heh, you're not alone. Eclipse had the same problem.
Ben Zwycky
Well, with this thread here, maybe less people will get caught out. Is there some way to set a particular lobby (e.g. the AWA lobby) as default?
Supreme Cmdr
Nobody would be caught out if they actually read the provided docs. There is no excuse for that.
