almostpilot
It's just a simple question and without intentions to blame any company. I have 3 games from 3000ad. The first bc, uc and ucawa. Any chance to release a patch to UCAWA wich remove starforce protection ? It's just a personal question. Because for my only reasons i don't like and not use starforce games (But have UCAWA the only one).
Supreme Cmdr
No. Its the only reliable copy protection program there is.

Darkling
I think you're confusing Starforce CD Copy Protection, which causes ALL Sorts of problems, with Starforce Software Protection, which is used by most companies that sell via Direct2Drive. Keep in mind, they are 2 COMPLETELY different technologies, and I've never even heard of anyone having any problems with the Software Protection technology. Supreme Cmdr
Thats right. Even though the digital protection version also uses drivers, it doesn't do anything with CD/DVD drives because there is no disk checking to be done.
