Which fleet will it be?

You've more than likely seen my discussion in RPG, so I need to pick a fleet.

What openings are there?

My personal views in no way affect my perfomance of mission objectives and in no way are intended as a measure of the intensity of my gastric acids or the strength of my coranary muscle.

What do you want? I think you have been invited to join several fleets. That is until you started being "wishy-washy" in your opinions. That just threw everyone in a tizzy. You joined Galcom but gave gave the Insurgents several points in the "debate". Sheesh what a mistake. smile.gif

Joining a fleet automatically throws you into a sort of roleplay. Once you choose a side you must stick with it. You must stick with it wholeheartedly. That's part of the game. Pure and simple. None of us really hate each other. We all play BC3K. That's why the really nasty posts are in "RP" tags. We are teasing each other and the RP's let each other know it for sure.

Ok, ok, smile.gif we can give each other a point or two but we still stick with the policies of our fleets. You came in trying to be a diplomat. (Seems to me, correct me if I am wrong.)

But your constant stance of

quote:

My personal views in no way affect my perfomance of mission objectives

screams Merc to us. That's what merc's do; they fight the battles for whomever is paying the bills. But I have never seen you mention money. Hmmmm. smile.gif

So, it's your choice but you have to play it to the hilt (pretty much)(and within RP tags so we understand you are "kidding" and/or "roleplaying").

Lot's of folks would like to have you. You are nice, polite, and enthusiastic.

Are you asking to be invited? If so you have to play that role. If you are looking for opportunities for advancement there should be several fleets looking for various officers. But stick to the role. smile.gif

(If the post seems obnoxiuos I'll delete it. Tell me.)(Other admins; same thing. If it's obnoxious delete it.)

Charles, that hardly seems obnoxious. It's a good explanation of RP, IMO.

Seriously, Warsong, you have started a whole bunch of threads relating simply to which fleet to join. I think that on this particular route of persuance, some fleet commanders may get tired of offering positions to you.

Just pick a fleet, already! smile.gif

This one has already! rolleyes.gif

Seriously, it will take some convincing before any Fleet Commander will trust you enough to invite you into their fold. Then you will have to work your way up from the bottom like everybody else. Trust is a hard thing to gain when you start off like you have. Now pick some Fleet and let's get started. cool.gif

Cmdr. WarSong,

AFAIK everyone who joins our community is either in no fleet at all (using the UCV designator), or per default assigned to the Prime Fleet (using the GCV designator).

Now, if you like to join one of the other fleets, you either defect to the Insurgency (they use the ICV designator), or request transfer to one of the other fleets. (If you happen to be transfered to EarthCom, you will use the ECV designator.)

Btw., those other Fleet Commanders (including Insurgent One, "Uncle" Rattler! wink.gif) may choose not to take you in! Then you stay in Prime, or maybe even get kicked out and have to use UCV...

Conclusion: if you do nothing at all, and start using the GCV designator, you are automatically in Prime.

Whatever you decide, you have to work your way up inside a fleet.

Regards.

Bah! I say go back to the UCV ship designator. You are a target for DE Deconstruction process anyway WarSong so you might as well earn some income before the DED is complete.

LOL! you guys are cruel. biggrin.gif

Warsong, just ignore them and stay with the default GCV. At least you'll get kicked out with much fanfare. And if you do get kicked out which has you adoption the UCV designation, you can be as much of a pain as you want. wink.gif

Warsong, I made a suggestion in the galcom or insurgency thread which you may want to consider. As for fleet offers, if search and destroy missions aren't your cup of tea then how about the ISS defence wing? Whatever sort of work you're after we'll probably be able to provide with one wing or another, and filling out the application form might help to clarify your opinions/standpoints (if not for yourself, then for the rest of us at least smile.gif).

If you don't want to commit to any particular type of mission, then Prime Fleet is for you. We pride ourselves as being jacks of all trades, and so you would be doing everything from orbital bombardment to mineclearing to convoy escort. Plus, there are numerous openings for Squadron and Wing Commanders, if you'd like to try your hand at commanding something bigger than a Battlecruiser. There are also some more, shall we say, covert positions that might be available after you've signed up.

Wraith is the "black ops" of Galcom, the people who sneak in, wreck havoc and chaos, and sneak out. The different Wings cover every single kind of mission profile out there. Heck, our infamous Cmdr. Gallion leads the equaly infamous Corsair Wing, which is the nearest thing to outright piracy that you could find in Galcom. And, as I've metioned before and most frequently (I'm a shameless recuriter), Wraith is also home to the only Fighter Command in Galcom or the Insurrgency.

It seems you are an independant commander. That's good. Wraith ships often find themselves in situations where backup is either impossible or would jeopardize the mission. The command structure is set up in such a way that commanders are given vast amounts of freedom, with no paper-pushing officers looking over thier shoulder.

It is also readily apparent that you dislike fighting the Insurrgency. In fact, our charter is the only one I'm aware of that does NOT include battling the Insurrgency. Our operations concern the other parts of the galaxy, most notably providing assitance to the Falakrie resistance against the cursed Gammualans.

Unlike heavy-handed Orion, introverted ISS, narrow EarthCom, or ponderous Prime, Wraith provides variety, travel, strategy, and a freewheeling spirit.

But while I would rather like to see you in our ranks, I'm not the Fleet Commander. You have shown yourself to be a little shifty and non-comital, so I'm not sure what sort of chances you'd have with any Fleet. But don't despair! Play your cards right, and you stand a good chance of flying with the best of 'em, and such.

Good luck, commander.

Heh, so that's GALCOM: "heavy-handed", "introverted", "narrow", "ponderous". OMG! biggrin.gif

Our luck at least one fleet provides "variety, travel, strategy, and freewheeling spirit." (Did I get it right?)

"Tac", I suggest sending Cmdr. Liev to the counselor(s), to give him a more PC attitude! wink.gif
