Deciding which fleet to join is nobodys descision but your own. Take a look at all of the fleet websites and information within and see if their goals match your own. Should you find somthing to your liking, approach either the fleet commander or the authorised fleet recruitment officer for more details. They will be able to answer any additional questions you may have and let you know what will be expected of you if you are accepted.

in your opinion which fleet should I join

What do you want to do? Every fleet has an area that you may feel is your specialty or something you would like training in. You have to decide.

One of the decisions is whether you want to be a good guy or a bad guy. The next decision is figuring out exactly who is the bad guy.

The UFN is the Earth's Government so supposedly the good guys. Galcom is the military branch so are also the good guys. Insurgents are the break off/ dissident so they are supposedly the bad guys.

But when Derek wrote the history in the manual he threw enough dirt on everyone to make you think. The decision is yours.

<----Shameless Plug

If you don't like Galcom and thier dirty dealings, but your not too wild about the Insurrgents either, Wraith Fleet, comparativly, is less involved in Insurrgent stuff and "underhanded" dealings, and deals more with the rest of the galaxy.

And don't you fellas start saying this stuff about "black hand" and "special forces" and such! We'd never do a thing like that...

Baaah! Fleets! Why would you wanna give up all the freedom that the galaxy offers by subjugating yourself to the bureaucracy(?) of the fleets? It's much better to be an Indie and decide your own fate! But that's just my opinion.

Very appropriate sig. Just remember that when it comes to interference of an independent nature that the out come for the independent is very certain, one might even say it is inevitable.

Thanks alot you guys I looked through all of the fleet related stuff and since I have had bad dealings with Spectre (I captured it quite easily) I decided to try Prime Fleet. Thanks

Galcom HQ is just as easy to capture. Oh-well, another target The only good thing about your choice BCFreak13 is that you did not choose to be a lemming

Welcome to the largest Fleet in Galcom's arsenal BCFreak13. Now all you have to do is choose a Wing, and Squad you would like to be assigned to, unless Thomas gives you your assignment when he ok's your application.

Your ship designation in your sig should read GCV-Uniden not GVC.

Dont pay too much attention to the turncoat bunny. He has a special grudge against the Orion Fleet, much like the rest of the Insurgent rabble do. But thats ok. MP be here soon, and when it is, Elma Fudd commin out or retirement to go a huntin wabbits.

Bwaha haha haha

"Security officer, who's trash talking Spectre?"

"Some rookie commander, sir."

"THAT'S IT?!?! For now on, don't wake me unless it's something urgent, like those Orion lemmings getting competent officers or something."

*grumbles back to sleep*

Welcome aboard, commander. I'm sure you'll find GHQ to have comfortable albeit temporary accomodations.

Btw, judging by the title of this thread, it seems that we have a reputation of battling over the newbies. Makes one wonder if we're just entertainment...

"What? an insurgent piloting a heap of space junk decides to trash talk me? Well, let's see how would he like a Hyperdyne looking down his tail pipe?

[R/P]

When ever Multiplayer comes out you will see that Prime Fleet just got a more formidable opponent than you expect.

What's that Smith? The Insurgent is Richard Simmons? AHHHHHH!!!!!!! Blow it up! Blow it up!! I don't want to be anywhere near that!! P/A system: "Attention all crewmen and women, We have a ship belonging to Richard Simmons on out TacScan. I suggest you get to your battle stations"

What? A mesage from Simmons? well, let's hear it!

Sigh... seems Galcom spends more emphasis on VOCAL training than COMBAT training these days. Guess thats the price when everything is POLITICAL.

"Miles, delcoak and launch as per FATAL target acquisition parameters... Lt. Sheldon, shut off that comm. I'm sick of hearing that inferal babeling."

/rp off

Hey, I'm an indie, too. The reason I like being an indie is that you don't have to take orders from anyone. I'm a jack of all trades, and do trading, escort, and other stuff.

Even though I don't like the politics of it, I do prefer Galcom over Insurgents. If there's ever a big battle between the Commies and Insurgents, I'm in. Watch out, Insurgents; whenever the Dark Outlaw isn't taking a job, I'll be after you.

LOL! Gallion, please add this merc to the hit list.

A merc against a fleet, heck - an alliance. What a novel idea!

The premise behind being an independent (aka indie) is not to choose a side between parties involved in a struggle. An indie should profit from all parties in their struggle - not allying themselve(s) with any one side longer then is required to perform the terms of a contract.

By making this proclamation Cmdr Nova, you have allied yourself with Galcom and its cronies. IMO you have have also become a target of opportunity and subject to instant DeD Decontructive process implementation by all Insurgent forces that encounter you and any that travel with you across this vast galaxy known as the BC Universe

It wasn't that I was against Insurgents completely. If I felt like killing someone, chances are, that it would be Insurgent over Galcom, because I hang out in zones with lots of UCV ships and often find more Insurgents around (you seem to have large patrol areas, well outside Insurgent Planet space). In RP, I dislike them both, and that's why I'm indie.

I almost joined Orion Fleet at first, but decided to hold on until making a decision. There is a possibility I'll join a fleet after I've gotten the hang of BCM Multiplayer. But for RPG, I'm a strong indie (for now--cuz you never know what'll happen in RP ).

I still work for nearly anyone (Galcom, Insurgent, All Alien Races except Gammulan), no questions asked, no backstabbing, etc. if you've got the cash for it.

I take jobs from escort, deliver cargo, assasinate, sabatogue, and trade in the spare time; you know, the basic hired gun bit.

In my spare time, in BC3K, I used to attack hackers & tourists for fun, along with those few poor Insurgents who flew too close to me when I was pissed off.
