12 Sept Mission

Marvin - DennyMala (GalCom)

VS

Shingen - Jamotto (TDH)

This was the ROE where both sides launches a shuttle and escorts it to land on the opposing team's planet of origin.

Jamotto and I started in Rovarix and were heading towards Procon. Marvin and Denny started in Procon and where heading for Rovarix.

I sent Jamotto to babysit the Junae region, while I tractored my shuttle and used the flux to jump to Gaulan, then I jumped into Castrin. There weren't any hostiles in Castrin, so I released the shuttle, raised shields and sent the shuttle to Procon, halting it before the wormhole so I could warp in first.

No one is Procon either?? Oh well. I set some waypoints on Procon and set my shuttle down on the surface winning the match for TDH.

No battles were engaged, no one was destroyed, so no player points were scored.

Fleet win goes to TDH

26 Sept: Mission 1

Marvin - Dreada - Ben Zwycky (GalCom)

VS

Chavik - Shohachi - [shingen] (Insurgents)

I think this one was the first ROE, where we set a shuttle next to a station and each side trys to take out the shuttle.

I think on the Insurgent side, Shohachi had the carrier/shuttle, and Chavik and I were in cruisers. On the GalCom side I think Marvin had the carrier/shuttle. The log doesn't say what Dreada (who kept losing connection) and Ben where in, but I think that they where in cruisers as well.

Anyway, Chavik and I met Ben in Foron. I guess we were feeling cocky or something, so we both jumped over to Ben to take him out. Instead, Ben takes out Chavik first, then proceeds to blow me into cargo-pods. BOOOM!

Chavik and I frantically try to re-spawn to get back into the action. Meanwhile, Marvin sneaks in and takes out Sho's shuttle and wins the match for GalCom.

Ben gets 700 EP and 100 ranking points for taking out Chavik and Shingen.

Fleet win goes to Prime.

26 Sept: Mission 2

Marvin - Dreada (GalCom)

VS

Shohachi - Chavik (Insurgents)

VS

Shingen (TDH)

OK in this one, I think that we didn't have enough people for a 3 on 3, so we went with 2 on 2 on 1. This was the ROE where each team sets a shuttle on their planet of origin, next to a base. Each team has to take out the enemy shuttle on the surface. I think everyone was flying cruisers in this one.

Marvin had his shuttle on Somaris. I think Sho had his on Gaulan, and I had mine on Foron.

This is the mission that in question, as Chavik kept getting out of his CC and flying his shuttle or something.

Anyway.. I'm going to need a better log to score this one completely, but as I remember it, Chavik got killed twice. Once by Dreada and once by me. I think I also took out Marvin as well, along with the GalCom shuttle. ( the log ends here, when Marvin died and the log ends).

So, until someone can come up with a better score, this is what I'm scoring:

Dreada gets 350 EP and 50 ranking points for taking out Chavik.

Shingen get 700 EP and 100 Ranking points for taking out Chavik and Marvin.

Fleet win goes to TDH.

10 OCT Mission

Dreada - DennyMala - Ben Zwycky (GalCom)

VS

Shingen - Carl Burning - [Chavik] (TDH)

This was the "shuttle on the planet" ROE. GalCom started in Procon, TDH started in Rovarix. I think everyone was in cruisers as well.

I think Chavik was having problems keeping a connection in this one, so I had Carl babysit the planet as I headed for Procon. Once I arrived, I saw Ben sitting over by the planet(Procon). After awhile he jumped over to me (I was sittin next to the wormhole). Anyway, we engaged each other, neither one of us could keep a target lock, and I jumped towards the planet Procon. During hyperspace, I slowly lost my shields, armor and hull points. By the time I entered the planet, I was too beat up to even move, so I told Carl I was relogging. Anyway, the log shows me getting killed by Ben regardless.

Ben gets 350 EP and 50 Ranking points for taking out Shingen

Fleet win goes to Wraith.

You'll have to update the Fleet database as well for everyone who got points.

Are we running a match this Sunday or are we going to wait?

I guess that's down to Remo. A one week delay to get things running smoothly again wouldn't kill us... completely.

So I guess me killing Chavik twice in Sept 26th Mission 1 doesn't count twice? or was that after the match ended? It was after you two respawned and Chavik wanted some revenge, so he rinsed and repeated... with the same result.

I would like to go ahead with the match but I'm not able to host the game server or TS right now.

I don't think Gordon would even if I ask so that leaves the fleet server with Client side logging only. Not sure if we want to go ahead or not. I'll leave that up to the rest of the FC's if they say go for it I'm game.

Sorry Ben, but I had to go with the log. The log I have shows you killing Chavik only once. If you have a better log, then sent it to me and I'll update the scores.

I could run my TS server and we could use the Fleet game server. What else is it for?

...or we can wait. Someone make a decision.

Ok then the Match is on for sunday then at the usual time. Shin will use your TS server and the 3000AD fleet server.

Usually we use the 3000AD fleet server for practice sessions and beta testing because we don't have access to the server chat log. we'll have to make do with what we have for this match.

We'll play the two documented ROE for the session.

[*]operation shuttle strike.

[*]operation transport slam.

Unless someone has documented and tested another ROE that I don't know about. Remember when ever you create match ROE that your AE can not leave your CC in a shuttle or fighter because it doesn't show correctly in the log. All the other normal guidelines apply also such as no use of fighters, missiles or going planetside.

Where, exactly are those ROEs documented? We've played and tested a few, but they have no documentation that I'm aware of. I know the one with the shuttles going planetside, doesn't work too well because of the planetside problems. I have the two you sent me, but I doubt anyone else has them.

Also, Remo, can you update the fleet database, or do we have to ask someone else?

ItÔÇÖs very important that we follow the proper procedure in each fleet match so that it can be scored fairly for all involved. I was just trying to find MarvinÔÇÖs post that lays out the match procedures so I don't have to post it again but it seems to be gone or at least I can't find it anyway.

When the Game leader announces, "start log" everyone should transmit privately to the scorekeeper via the in-game comm. system his or her name, ship class, and type as follows

[*]Remo - Super Carrier - Aestrom

That way the Scorekeeper knows the exact point value of their asset listed on the score sheet.

I just realized when I was starting to update the DB that the ROE team score wasn't awarded to the winning team. Which is understandable since you don't have a copy of the ROE Doc's yet.

When Marvin took out the Insurgent shuttle for Prime the team score objective was met according to the match ROE and all the members of the team would split equally the team score. The team score for operation shuttle strike is 1500 EP and 100 Ranking Points. I have adjusted the scores for all the members of Team Prime for the match.

Mission 2 for Sept 26 and the match on Oct 10 would have violated official procedure since they involved planetary egress by players but I'm going to let this slide and award the points as stated in shin's post to avoid any hard feels between the FL's that were involved in the matches. I'll post the ROE guidelines again shortly to help you all in getting some more official ROE documented for future matches.

in sept 26th mission 1 Dreada was in a Warmonger, and so was I, Shin was in a Garid and Chavik a sunflash. I was pretty sure we sent those messages. If they weren't there, then I apologise.

Shin, I guess you took down your TS 'cause I just went looking for it ... no joy.

If I remember correctly Marvin we started at 12:00PM my time on Sept 26. that would make it 1900hrs GMT 2000hrs BST right?

Dreada I'm sending you and email with a zip file attached named hosting-pack1.zip. It contains both documented ROE and the stats board. Please host them at Wraith so everyone will have access to the ROE and be able to view the Stats board until I get Galcom.net back online, thanks.

Alright, I have all the scores tallied for this match, but I've gotta say, with all due respect, that because of the the MP issues and problems, these matches are becoming an exercise in futility, and I'm about at the point where I don't want to play anymore.

Oct 24, Mission 1

Ben Zwycky - Dreada - Dennymala (GalCom)

VS

Chavik - [Marvin] - [shingen] (Insurgents)

This was the first ROE with the shuttle next to a friendly starstation. GalCom had their shuttle in the Nzone and the Insurgents had a shuttle in Gaulan. I had the shuttle next to our starstation and Dreada had the GalCom shuttle placed as well.

I met Ben in Junae, but decided to cloak passed him and enter Rovarix. Meanwhile Chavik and Marvin were keeping the enemy busy in Junae.

I finally made it to the Nzone, waited for my hyper engines to charge, cloaked and then jumped to the enemy shuttle. Meanwhile, the log shows Ben getting destroyed, but not who or what destroyed him. Also Dreada takes out Marvin in a firefight.

I cloak and target the enemy shuttle, jump and enter hyperspace, listening as the battle continues in Junae. I exit hyperspace (CLOAKED WITH PTAs OFF), and begin to attack the enemy shuttle. I can't bring down the shuttle's shields after about 30 seconds of constant fire from my main guns. Then, Eterna star-station targets me (while I'm cloaked), and blows me to hell.

The GalCom fleet wins by default.

Dreada gets 350 EP and 50 Ranking Points for taking out Marvin.

Fleet win goes to ISS.

Oct 24, Mission 2

Ben Zwycky - Dennymala - Papi (GalCom)

VS

Chavik - [Marvin] - [shingen] (Insurgents)

This was the shuttle escort ROE. GalCom started in the Nzone, and the Insurgents started in Gaulan. The objective was to escort and land a shuttle on the enemies planet of origin.

In this one, Marvin had the shuttle and towed it while I headed for the station for a shield upgrade. I followed Marvin, as Chavik went looking to see if the enemy was using the Flux-fields. Chavik finally met the enemy in Rovarix, destroyed the enemy shuttle and won the match for the Insurgents.

Chavik gets 0 EP and 3 Raking Points for killing the GalCom shuttle.

Fleet win goes to Balor

Because some of these ROE's haven't been documented with Win/Loss score numbers, I didn't allocated any "ROE scores" between team players, in this match or the last four that I scored. Marvin and I had a discussion and decided not score any "Fleet Win Scores" (between winnning Team players equally), until things are more standardized.

On a personal note, I really don't see any point in further fleet matches until after the MP server/packet issues have been resolved!!!
