Time for some FUN

Recommended Posts

A bit late but {Roleplay}ON

Perhaps Wraith shouldn't stray too far from the nest. Space is cold and lonely.

Why you should stray so far from home is beyond me. Closer to the enemy but farther from reinforcements. Cold space. Lonely space.

We Insurgents are used to being cold and lonely. We are used to hiding. Fragile alliances are the norm. We live with this every day. Cold and Lonely. Lonely and Cold.

Two races are aloof at best. Two are out for anything Terran. And the Two who have joined Galcom could probably care less for our internal struggle. Cold...Lonely.

Take Care Wraith that ye do not hide in the last place you could possibly run. So Cold, so lonely.

Cold. Lonely. Quiet. Did I mention the quiet? So quiet. Silence. Absolute. Quiet.

Does an Explosion in space make a sound? NO it doesn't. So Quiet. So cold. So lonely.

Take care Wraith. Spectres are everywhere.

{Roleplay} OFF

I thought it was time to put the FUN back into the game. smile.gif

I think we are past the point of Insurgents are wrong ("No we aren't")and into the phase of general threats. LOL.

Let's put the fun back into it. smile.gif

Empty threats, little Insurgent ghostling. The Wraith, the Spectre...should be a fine battle on the supernatural fields of forever.

You seem to forget that, for so many years, WE, GALCOM and EarthCOM, have plied the space-ways. WE have protected the people that travel them with us. WE have fought the eternal fight so far from home. So cold. So lonely. So BITTER. WE are the ones that have spent our lives fighting interstellar battles where ships are lost and lives are snuffed out like a million candles on an ethereal wind. And YOU have the HIDE to threaten US?

How many times have you fought behind enemy lines, so COLD and ALONE because reinforcements cannot come, and you are all that is left? Never - Insurgents skulk behind cold suns and distant, wasted planets, wallowing in their self-centered bigotry and hypocrisy. The suns rays barely touch you, and your unholy pacts with the criminal scum and infamous baggage of wasted human life protect you from our reach. How many times have you been forced to leave those you love; not because you committed the crimes of terrorism and vandalism and murder, as the Insurgents did so long ago; but because people like the Insurgents continue to terrorise their little "patches" of space, and you must risk your life to protect them? How many times?

Never.

Look out, little Insurgent band. I have seen many friends killed by your grasping hands. I have seen more friends lost, as your hypocritical beliefs and the words of your demagogues swayed those whose armour was chinked - with pain, suffering, or hatred. The three elements that the Insurgents prey on. You are a hypocritical stain on the darkness of the galaxy and your petty little reign over a few uninhabited stars will not be brooked much longer!

Beware...

</RP>

Okay Chavik, how was that? *grin*

Yes...I'm back...

Spoken like a true GalCommie, brainwashed lapdog of the UFN, Half-Sister of that Un-Holy band of "Space Travelers?" that call themselves EarthCom. Hah!! They are afraid of the darkness of Space. That's why you never see them outside of selected planetary paths. Don't worry though, We'll leave a light on for them in the "Darkness of Space." As for you, Galcommie, WE WON'T. Remember the name of your ship, the "First Light?" That's the First Light We intend to "Turn OFF" on our way home. smile.gif

Keep on pushing it, Insurgent scum. You're at the top of my list. It used to be a list of redemption. Now I fear there is only one path of redemption for you and your kin. The path of final darkness.

The First Light is a GALCOM ship and as such it will treat you as the wanted criminals you are should you show yourselves. I don't expect my crew to be as passionate in hunting you down as I am - and in fact, should I encounter you whilst on GALCOM station, I will also temper my anger at the atrocities you and your kind have committed.

I DO expect my crew to make every effort conceivable to defend themselves and their crewmates, as well as their ship. And I expect them to make all possible attempts to bring you to legal, GALCOM justice. I expect this because I trust them. Take my advice, Rattler, and all other Insurgents out there.

Don't mess with the First Light.

Hah!!! You appear to be able to "Talk the Talk", however, can you "Walk the Walk?" This is the question that only you can answer, so be sure and answer it before you climb out on that limb. There are a lot of people out there just itching to use that brand new saw in just such an event smile.gif

Take my advice on this one, Galcommie!! Stay at home where it's "Safe!!!"

I'm waiting, old friend.

In the ancient days of war they settled such matters with a meeting of equals, while the gathered forces looked on. An ancient custom, but perhaps not a dead one. I have access to my own Interceptor. Name your craft. Name your place. I have never used words as shields - only weapons.

Perhaps it has come time to use some new weapons...

<rp>

Thought you guys had given up and gone home. What's the matter, No light to lead you back to your front porch? I know that you do NOT thrive in the dark, or you wouldn't stay so close to home. Do yourselves, and Galcom a favor. Stay in the yard where it's safe. You'll live longer, and won't be under foot when the real fighting starts. Galcom has enough to worry about without having to keep you guys out of harm's way as well smile.gif

Better Yet, come out and join the party. The CIC is going to be hard enough to get, we might need your added distractions, just so we can get close enough to get the job done.

DeSylva, I find it odd that you are the only GALCOM Cmdr. with teeth enough to post to this open forum. But, then your probably the only member of GALCOM with his own teeth.

My crew and I have encountered many of your newer GALCOM forces. I am not impressed. Is the academy not getting any qualified applicants? I seem to remember that getting through GALCOM training was impossible for all but the best and brightest. But, based on the calibre of the Cmdr.'s I've been encountering, best and brightest must have slipped through the cracks or gone home scared.

Its no longer any fun to pick a fight with the lumbering GCV's out there. I'v had to resort to disabling systems, destroying cargo and launch bays, taking out communications and waiting for the next GALCOM newbie to arrive so I could begin the process anew. (BTW, I've left the Polaris region. You need to go salvage about fifteen of your Cmdr.'s. Oh, you might want to bring fresh diapers.)

Might I suggest that GALCOM stops giving BC's to Cmdr.'s still nursing off their mothers milk and get some poty-trained men and women that have their own set of teeth.

I know the brass are gearing up for an all out asault on Gammulan forces and puting younger Cmdr.'s in the chair for that reason. But don't think numbers alone will win. You're ranks have to be able to do more than set thrust factors to 9 and turn on the PTA systems.

However, should any of you newer cadets reading this post want to learn how to fight, stay alive, and win. Contact myself or Cmdr. Rattler. You can be assured that you'll be properly trained and welcomed into a group of GALCOM's elite that are not blind to the truth!

Vague threats yes. Empty? NEVER!

Lest YE forget, we were a force before Galcom was even a half-formed thought in some decrepit old politician's delusions.

When we were gaining strength and could not be quieted we were thrown into the river. Like unwanted puppies tied in a sack.

The people of our cause have been hunted like rabid dogs. Because they were trying to right the governments wrongs. And they were wrong. They are still wrong. And even more wrong to fall back into 20th century strong arm communist tactics. What opposes the government should be destroyed. United FREE Nations? It should be United FORCED Nations.

So be a good little puppy and lick your master's hand. Fetch when told, and wag your tail when you are patted on the head for being a good boy.

Such blinded devotion would be commended if it were not so misplaced.

So once again we are at an impasse. Until we meet. <Salutes>

Once more, another example of how well Insurgents can be trained to spew up their dogmatic, hand fed principles on demand.

Hypocritical, the way you gang up on single, GALCOM ships with many of your kind, disabling it, subjecting it to the fear of death and destruction, before leaving it to drift in space. You call this elite GALCOM tactics? These are the tactics of terrorists.

Long before GALCOM even existed, the Insurgents were there alright. As terrorists. And do not try and deny it. EarthCOM may not be the most wonderful group of people, but no group has a mandate to go on an all out war unless there is just cause. And the Insurgents provided them exactly that just cause. By their guerilla attacks on EarthCOM forces. You call a silent war a political protest?

I don't know who fired the first shots, Insurgent scum...all I know is that ever since, you have been firing them for the wrong reasons.

Once I thought you could be saved. Now I fear I was wrong. This saddens me.

</RP>

Repent ye sins, all who enter here! *grin*

Keep it up guys...I'll be off ro a while doing some Uni work and drawing up a nice, flashy pic which will sort out this fleet structure that is getting more complicated by the minute...*grin* But I'll be back on soon.

Oh, this is fun.

<rp on>

quote:

There were rumors of brutality,manipulation, kidnapping and blackmail by EARTHCOM operatives on Earth and on the evolving Martian and Lunar colonies. The official statement by the government was that the Insurgents were a ruthless group, who had no real purpose other than to bring down the UFN for political gain. Nevertheless,support for the Insurgents grew.

The alliances formed with alien nations, the allocation of Earth resources for the maintenance of the resident aliens, and the expenses associated with the space exploration program were all factors that maintained the rift. The Earth was still threatened by a depleting ozone layer and yet UFN had failed to address the problem, instead choosing continued to allocation of resources to space research and the subsidizing of alien nations.

In an effort to save face, the UFN officially declared the Insurgents an outlaw organization in 2965 .

DeSylva, this information was taken directly from GALCOM history files. You should know, that the only reason the Insurgents were made outlaw is beacuse UFN couldn't afford to correct its mistakes so instead they imprisoned innocents and used their property to fund further illegal actions.

Please take the plank from your own eye before you even mention the splinter in someone elses. The Insurgents cause has most likely kept you and yours free from genetic slavery. It has definitely kept you free to make your own decissions.

Start asking yourself the hard questions, DeSylva. Otherwise, I suggest you keep an eye out for the Nevermore. If you come within sensor range you will be disabled and debriefed.

Yes this has been said about us, but what do you believe?? the highly suspect information given by Insurgent supporter which have infiltrated the News network and are trying to spread the vocal poison, or the truth behind it all?

the insurgents will never tell the truth because that would rob them of there basis, they would crumble to dust if they did, and so i pity them. they are nothing more than a group of terrorist, i grant them they are effective, but as history shows:

World War II has been going perfectly for the germans at first, but what happenend?? they LOST, because they where not meant to win. the same will happen to you insurgents, because your cause is faithed to fail.

in the end you will be the "first light" to be exstinguished.

So prepare yourself your doom is waiting.

GALCOm and EarthCOM, do not like each other, but we are together in one thing, and that is that YOu, Insurgenst, must be destroyed for the good of mankind.

Rattler, you treacherous insurgent scum, do you not know what is arrayed agaisnt you?

On one side you have GALCOM, one of the strongest military force in the galaxy, with the united might of the Terran, Empirian, and Vesperon people. Not to mention the power of Battlecruisers such as the GCV Punisher and the other ships found in the First Fleet.

On another you have EARTHCOM. Though I do not agree with the acts they are accused of doing in the past, they certainly now seem to have "cleaned up their acts" and are still extremely effective. They will never stop tracking down every single insurgent cells and snuffing them out.

And finnally you have the Gammulans, who would like nothing but to eradicate the human race, including you insurgents.

Not only are you a traitor to humanity and all taht it stands for, but by perpretating your terrorist acts, you are reducing (ever so slightly) our chances of successfully repelling the Gammulan threath.

This is a crime of capital proportions.

Should we meet in space, rest assured that your defeat will be swift and decisive.

And until then you should just know your role, and shut your mouth.

So many responses. So little time to formulate a coherent argument.

DeSylva, I now no longer call you a dog. Dogs can be wooed in a fashion. Shown who to trust. Given respect, they will give it back.

I really don't know what to name you without turning you more against us. If that was possible in the first place. Your arguments are vehement yet feral. And I could tell you your arguments were wrong till space turned white yet you would not beleive me.

You aren't so bad at spouting dogma yourself. Not even on command. It is so ingrained you take every oppurtunity to spew it whether told to or not.

Mr. McQueen,

Do you now accuse us of Changing all history files to date and that everyone would all of a sudden believe them as truth?

I thank you that you believe so much of us and so little of your own populace. Fed lies by the United FORCED Nations for so long they now believe anything in print.

It must terrify you that we can do so much when we claim so little. Who's lies do you believe now? Or are they lies at all? Who's is the truth?

And finally Mr Naylor.

Who can't say anything because he has nothing good to say about anyone. Not even your own comrades? Your brothers in arms? Not a single defense? Not a word in agreement?

Some say silence is golden but I truly don't beleive this is the case here. If not golden then what?

While I admit there is a fine line between argument and debate and we have had to pull your comrades back over the line many times, I still beleive this is a debate.

It is regrettable that it must be decided by force of arms. If history decides who wins my right instead of might WE know who shall win.

Close your eyes Charlie...

Look deep inside you and listen... remember the screams of your comrades, the pain in your soul, the regret... listen to it.

Can you hear it? Do you understand it? The souls of your dead weep in pity for those who they once called comrades in rebellion who still live. They have seen the future... they know.

As their transparent tears flow through your consciousness, you will relive their last moments... LOOK at them.

The horror of their last thoughts, the knowledge of impending doom, the sight of the Wraith Insignia as it shines on the hull of a Galactan Battlecruiser... the beautiful pattern of the IOD coming closer and closer.. the insignia, the light,the last gasps of the crew... silence.

See how the Void claimed them, FEEL it with them Charlie... the never, the dreamlike state, let them show you how Space bled black tears of joy, its lost offspring finally return to it.

You may open your eyes now dear rebel, breathe deeply and remember.

You turned against your own, you call yourselves "Spectres", you became the legions of fear...

We are the Wraith, the Lords of all Ghostly Apparitions... we are the Soldiers of Terror. Your terror. We are your nightmare's worst nightmare.

We are coming...

Stare at empty space my rebellious subject, soon you shall feel our wrath, soon ye shall see the light.

Once more diving back into the fray...

<RP>

You are pushing it, Chavik.

No one has EVER accused me of following another person's lead without my own conscious will.

No one has EVER accused me of blind faith; of following any person's counsel, and any person's belief, but my own.

You should remember the good old times, back in the fold...when we were true soldiers of the GALCOM legion. Back when I forced them to take me back into their ranks, after four years away while on duty. And I have worked my way up slowly, Chavik. Slowly and bitterly. And do you know what kept me going? Do you, Insurgent? The knowledge that one of your kind was out there. He was out there, and threatening to kill me. And worse than that - he threatened my friends, the ones I cared about most. The knowledge that the Insurgent who attacked me so many years ago continued to escape justice.

You will not honour me with the name of dog? I do not honour you with any name but traitor. Take a look at the force you serve with and ask yourself if these are the people you once dreamed of fighting beside.

Ask yourself if these are the people you want to share peace beside. Ask yourself if these people even want peace.

My counsel is my own, and every member of my ship knows it. I follow most of GALCOM's orders because I believe - I believe, in my heart and soul - that they still have humanity's best interests at heart. I am not saying that they are perfect. Every organisation is made up of people, and every person is different. Some are good, and some are bad. But as long as the many people - whether they be "good", or "bad" - are bound by a common and fair set of rules - as long as those rules are followed - then the organisation as a whole must survivem because it is doing right. Otherwise there is no light left in this galaxy.

When GALCOM's orders have gone against my own creed, my own honour, and my own ethics, then I have stood up and I have questioned those orders. And I have been dressed down for it. And I have made enemies for it. But look around you, Chavik - because all of these GALCOM commanders who continue the fight, who continue to resist your encroachment - have done the same. We have all faced court-martial at one time or another [Tac more than that *grin*] for standing up for our beliefs where we feel GALCOM has been unfair. But we have done it, and we make GALCOM better for it.

Your conduct does not. Your craven flight when contraband matierals were found on your ships shows what you really are. You are criminals, and rather than show a bit of moral fibre and accept responsibility for your actions, you turn on GALCOM - a group that many people owe their lives to in these times of war. Suddenly, GALCOM is the oppressor. Well, I don't buy it. And that is my opinion and not anyone else's.

I ran for four years. I ran from GALCOM, and I ran from the Insurgent who betrayed them. If I for one minute bought into this game of blind faith and following others, such as you accuse me of, then I'd still be running. I'm not. I'm back.

First I am going to find the Insurgent scum who has had an unholy grip on my life for nearly six years. When he has been brought to official, sanctioned justice, then I will set about making the space ways safe - for everyone. Human, alien, military, trader - everyone. And if that means capturing or destroying every Insurgent ship in the galaxy, then so be it. My soul is heavy with this knowledge. My records show that I take prisoners. I am known for it. Salvage yards like me. Just because we are at war does not mean I have a god-given drive to try and push the body count upwards. So any Insurgents who still harbour doubts may count on acceptance of terms and safe escort to GALCOM custody from me. But any who resist - any who threaten the safety of myself, my crew, my loved ones, or the beings that I share this galaxxy with - shall be disciplined. I will defend with force all those who cannot defend themselves.

This is, perhaps, your final warning. Soon, my office duties within GALCOM will be over, and the First Light will once again be deployed to traverse the space-ways.

You were once my friends. I do not want to kill you. I do not want to hurt you. But sometimes these choices have to be made. There is still time to surrender, my old friends. Still time to turn yourselves in. Any Insurgent who returns to GALCOM, I pledge my full support in gaining a fair punishment.

If not...then I guess we will meet on the battlefields. May god smile on us all. The time of negotiation is at an end. I have opened every door I can to you. Surrender now, or the justice you face will be the justice of space - the cold, dark, lonely void that the Insurgents seem to cherish so much.

</RP>

Well, there ya go. Chavik, you should know better - there are some things about DeSylva you just don't question, and one of those is his sense of honour, professionalism, or autonomy...*grin*.

Stay tuned for following post...

And here it follows...time to rest my fingers.

<RP>

Hmmm. I have been accused of vehemently arguing. I have been accused of spouting dogma. I have been accused of being brainwashed.

Perhaps it is time to rationally debate some of the lies the Insurgents have so loudly and forcesfully perpetrated upon us.

1) EarthCOM is brutal and unfair.

Find me proof. Find me one tiny, infinitesimally small shred of a fragment of evidence that says any Insurgent sympathiser was treated without regard to EarthCOM and Terran Police regulations. You will not find it. The history files speak of rumours, and that is all they were.

Of course, the first thing any true Insurgent will say to this is, "of course, the Government would cover this up!". Insurgents - no secret stays covered up forever. The populace control the government, and the populace do not like the military to keep secrets. Any brutality or unfair treatment would have been hunted out by the media long before now. It has not been. The fact remains, these were nothing more than rumours - rumours begun to further the Insurgent cause.

2) The Insurgents were forced to become outlaws and use military force, because the UFN gave no outlet for political protest.

Bull****. The UFN is a political organisation. Their representatives are elected on the basis of popular ballot. That is called democracy. The Insurgents never once held a majority vote in any country in the UFN before they were declared an outlaw organisation. The fact is, their backwards ideas were simply not shared by the majority of Terrans. And when their terrorist and extremist tactics finally made it impossible for the UFN to accomodate them any longer, they decided to become militaristic outlaws. Had their protests remained peaceful and non-violent, then they would not have been outlawed. They brought about their own downfall. And I'm sure EarthCOM didn't ASK them to start stealing ships and attacking innocent personnel.

And before any Insurgent disputes me on this, read the GALCOM news history. It's all there to be seen. And the media is independent of GALCOM or the UFN, so tell me UFN bought the media out as well.

3) Conflicts between the Insurgents and the UFN are always bloody and violent because that is how the UFN and EarthCOM deal with any protest to their unfair/undemocratic/authoritatian/dictatorship/tyrannical rule.

It's funny you should say that, because there are a lot of other protest groups that stand up to the UFN. Some of them even support some of the concepts the Insurgents once stood for - preserve the home planet, cut alien support. But for some reason, these protests have not turned into an all out war. If UFN and other groups can work things out okay, but the UFN and the Insurgents are involved in an unofficial civil war - why is it suddenly the UFN's fault?

4) The UFN is an unfair government. The people just can't see it because the Government is brainwashiong them.

An entire population, huh? See my arguments at point 2).

Well, I think this about covers it. When I can find any other commonly touted Insurgent arguments, I will happily debunk them.

The day I saw an Insurgent take up arms against fellows of their own race, and incite a civil war - the day I saw an Insurgent so incensed with rage that they would kill, a crime that has, from the ancient times of humanity, been the most tragic crime of all - I realised that these people had finally sold their souls. Killers kill for one reason - power. The UFN does not govern for power. They govern for the will of the people. A people that have not chosen you.

</RP>

How's that then, Chavik? I'm sure the replies will come soon...*grin*

I've got the longest thre-ead. I've got the longest thre-ead. Beat that, Rattler.

I was counting up the messages, Ratt...it looks like I'm ahead of you in posts in your forum...and you're ahead of me in mine! We'll have to fix this disparity...*grin*
