Call for Information!

Hello all.

Firstly, I apologise for my relative silence recently, but a combination of study, exams, and internet access problems have kept me away from you all.

I am currently working on the Intelligence Report that I promised you all so long ago; but to complete it, I need the following information.

* The name of EarthCOM's main Battlegroup (ie. the one that new players are automatically assigned to. I am assuming it is an Assault Ops BG)

* The commanding officer of EarthCOM's Omicron Battlegroup (if it is not T. C. McQueen himself)

* Any logos that the Insurgent Squadrons would like to have in the Intelligence Report (if I don't get them i'll design logos myself)

* Any blurb that the fleet/squadrons/battlegroups would like about themselves in the report (if I don't get it, i'll make it up *grin*)

* Also, I would be MOST indebted if someone could very quickly cut out the section of the BC3K Manual on GALCOM History, paste it into a text file, and mail it to me.

Responses by mail would be MOST appreciated, and as soon as possible please. For the next few days, until Derek very generously fixes up the [email protected] address to point to my current email address, email me at [email protected]. Geocities mail has fallen by the wayside as far as I'm concerned, so anyone wishing to contact me, use the above mjones3 adress, until I let you know that the ops address is working as well.

Also, anyone who would simply like to email me about Battlecruiser issues, at mjones3 and later on at [email protected], feel free to do so - my inbox has been pretty quiet lately!

Hello once again all!

Well, my saga of internet woes is finally over. I have managed to figure out why I was getting virtually no mail. But that is a long and rather embarrassing story, so if you would like to hear more - email me...*grin*

To keep you up to date, I now receive email from all sources! As a result, you can use my Geocities address once more, but why bother? Derek has generously set me up the "Ops" address, and it sounds heaps cooler, so I encourage you all to use it...and send me lots of inspirational email as my exams draw closer...*grin*

The Intelligence Report is well underway, but I have two slight snags - EarthCOM and the Insurgents. No, only kidding; what I mean is that I still need to hear from someone in authority from each of those camps to confirm the questions I asked, above, in my last post. I know Rattler is putting together a reply at the moment, which means I still need someone from EarthCOM. Now, I know Commander McQueen is away, but in the interests of keeping things sorted out, someone else from his camp feel free to answer my questions.

I know of Alpha (Command), Omicron (Training), and Omega (SCID) Battlegroups, but they are all specialised. What is the "default" Battlegroup that players enter when they join EarthCOM? I noticed Karl Wolf is a member of Epsilon BG - is that it? And if so, what is it's Area of Operation? (I am assuming it is an Assault Ops BG).

Well, that's about it for now. All of those who have sent me email over the last couple of weeks, rest assured, I have managed to retrieve all of it (I think!) and I am working through it as we speak.

Thanks for your support, everyone who wrote to me to ask where I had diappeared too!! And also to Derek for helping me out with the email address and the mailing group. You are all legends.

And now, off to study...ergh.
