Rattler Posted November 13, 1998 Report Share Posted November 13, 1998 Dave, I invite you to read all the threads in this forum for a little insight into the Fleets, and decide if you want to join one, or just elect to be a member of Galcom Prime Fleet by doing nothing. The Fleets will most assuredly be a part of Multi-Player, but for now they are Role Player driven. How you join a particular fleet is to Register on the Commander's Roster, electing which Group you wish to join, and then the fleet that you want to join. If you want to join the Insurgents, I welcome you with open arms. Just put Insurgents in as Group, and Spectre in as Fleet. Also, no matter which group you join, do not put in a designation (GCV, ECV, or ICV) in front of your ship. The Program will put that in for you. No matter the fleet that you decide on, just join and enter into the fray , and "Welcome Aboard Commander!" Send me some email if you want to know more about the Insurgency. I might add that you may want to read Section 3.0 of the manual "A Brief History". It covers Earth's "history" from the present 1990's to game-time present of 3000 A.D. One thousand years has not done much for humanity it seems. Earth still has it's problems and no one is painted totally innocent. So read a bit and see what you think. Once you decide which fleet you would like to join simply e-mail that fleet leader. The Roleplay forums are good reading too. You may have to expand your preferences to catch the first one. So choose well for you will be stuck with that identity from here on. An enthusiastic man like yourself would do well as an Insurgent. I know the ISS and Orion Fleets have their websites up & running, I do not know if this is true for the insurgents. Wraith Fleet will open its site soon. Each Fleet has its own "style" of play, so check em out before you decide your future in the BC3K universe. That's one of the great things about this game. It draws you in to this big universe. I don't know if this question was answered, but, will the new version have MP? We won't get to try that out unitl BC3020 is released. Derek is not (last I read) doing a public beta of 3020, so we'll just have to wait!Until then, v2.0 will include a mission builder.
