Firesword, do you understand what I meant by weak link. Those opposed to the Insurgents will use anything they can to belittle our actions. We insurgents MUST work twice as hard here and be twice as careful with our words because those that can will blow the flaws out of proportion. That means less support from citizens back home, and lower moral among the troops.

Be careful, Firesword, your words carry ramifications you haven't thought about! Which means your Insurgent Brothers have to work that much harder to repair your mistakes.

I am trying to work my way back into the BC3K world, so if I've missed some events sorry about that, please fill me in if I mess something up. I've tried reading the posts so I think I'm up to date.

Cmdr.DeSylva

I volunteer the services of the GCV Shogun to escort you on any meeting between you and the insurgents.

I have a location of Cmdr.Tringad, and I will ensure you that no harm will come to him. The Intelligence section has been working overtime to ensure his safe passage back here. The intelligence that we have gathered is as follows: <scrambled transmission>, with these facts known, we are assembling <scrambled transmission> vessels from the following fleets and areas of expertise to ensure his safe passage:<scrambled transmission>

I will be sending a more secure encrypted transmission to yourself and Cmdr.Tringad.

I await your orders for myself and the Shogun and her crew.

As I continue to read through this drabble that the Insurgents keep spouting out, it amazes me how a group can manipulate any idea or any amount of violence to justify it's cause. True the same may be said of GALCOM, but the difference between GALCOM and the Insurgent forces is that we have a proven track record of humanitary and non-violent actions in support of friendly worlds and unknown worlds. The only actions I see by the Insurgent forces is one of violence and hatred, and their only reason for this violence is that they are only countering GALCOM's violence. There must be law and order in the universe, and it is GALCOM that is providing this law and order. Violence must be used sometimes to maintain that law and order and if the Insurgents are using that as their basis of their movement, then their movement is as weak as their members. Insurgents say they are revolutionaries and want to have their ideas implemented. Revolutionaries try many different ways to implement their ideas, including peaceful means. Insurgent forces are not revolutionaries, but cowards who hide behind manipulations. The insurgent forces will claim that they are not cowards because they are ready to jump into battle, this does not make someone brave, being brave means that you can accept what your ideals are about is wrong and accepting that fact. No one, on either side, can call anyone on the other side a coward for not wanting to fight, that is inherent in the Battlecruiser commander or we wouldn't have gotten to the position we are at and still remained there, but true leaders of incumbant governments and revolutions find ways outside of violence to perpetuate their ideas. Thus the insurgents are total failures at this.

</rp>

I hope I didn't ramble too much I'm not much of an orator, I get ideas and put them down, sometimes they don't come out the way I want them to. I'm an engineer, not an english teacher.

Re:Pickup

I will send you a secure transmission giving you times and coordinates at which to be. I will also send you authentication codes to use before the pick up to let me know the situation and that you are who you are reporting you are.

I will not have ANY GALCOM commander taken prisoner by the Insurgent forces, much less anyone from the ISS Fleet.

MAN! I spend one day away from the computer, and look what happens! smile.gif

<RP ON>

I can't say I look forward to meeting with the Insurgents, but if it has to be done, it has to be done. I believe they will keep their promise, and deliver me safely. If not, well, tell my parents I love them, and that I fought for Earth until the end.

I couldn't ask for two better Commanders then DeSylva and Ristar to pick me up (not sucking up to my superiors smile.gif). And out of all of the Insurgents, I trust Chavik most, he'll keep his promise, I know it.

If this meeting turns sour, I'll be in the middle of it, so try and hit the other BCs, not my shuttle smile.gif A Vagrant would be one hell of a welcome party smile.gif

Well, I look forward to seeing GHQ again, and being back on the bridge of the Black Falcon. DeSylva, you DID take care of her, right? smile.gif

DeSylva, Ristar, I'll see you soon, until then, take care.

<RP OFF>

OK, DeSylva, you got me in to this mess, you get me out! smile.gif

Later all.

Tac, sorry to break it to you, but the UFN does still exist - it's the Earth government! EarthCOM is just it's military force. Don't worry - you and FireSword can read the manual together...*grin*.

<RP>

Ristar - transmission receieved and understood. You are welcome to accompany me to receive our errant traveller home. However, ALL support ships are to remain outside the Polaris system. I repeat, ALL support ships are to hold short outside the Polaris system, in Jupiter space. You and I will fly alone from there.

Tringad - You are to sit tight and not move until we arrive. The Nevermore and the Pheonix are on their way to your position as well, but you are to remain when they arrive. We have reports of an Insurgent gathering around Sygan - this could be good news or bad, but I am assuming Rattler knows the danger that attacking us would put his two best Commanders in, and is planning something else.

Sit tight, don't move, and if there are any weapons on that tin-pot you are flying, switch them off!

DeSylva out. Pick-up in 72 hours.

</RP>

Damn, Ristar, that's great news about your son. He'll be playing pro football in no time. Hell, he's halfway there - he already talks in babble and drools a lot! *grin*.

*LOL*!

What I meant is that he uses the UFN as if it was a military force. (Edited my previous post a bit hehe..*ahem* guess I've spent too much time desk flying!).

<RP>

Cmdr. De Sylva, 2 ships cannot watch all 720 degrees of its escortee, be carefull out there...the EDGECRUSHER is still loose *G*.

If Wraith may be of assistance, just give us a call, we are everywhere.

Tac,

You had better not be everywhere! Who's watching for the Gammulan Invasion? Could it possibly be "The Insurgents" doing your job for you? Nah, we wouldn't be doing you a favor like that, would we? Wait, I gathered my Fleet at Sygan, didn't I? Wonder what that's all about? KEEP WONDERING biggrin.gif

Thanks for your offer Tac, hopefully we won't need your help.

I don't have any weapons (oops, am I laser fodder now?) on this shuttle I stole.

I'll sit tight. I can't say the ICV Phoenix and the ICV Nevermore are a sight for sore eyes, but it's better then the cold, dark, lonely depths of space anyday.

<RP OFF>

I sent out that mail, DeSylva. You should get a copy. If not I'll send you one. Later all

ICV At All Costs

Location:Polaris System

Status : Cloaked, Hull at 56%

Medibay :

Locke : wha - what the hell is going on? how did I get here? what happened?

Medical Officer : Sir, we were heading for the jump point to engage the traitor Tringad's vessel, and we had a collision with a large freighter entering the system. It was destroyed, and so was much of the forward section of At All Costs. You were hit by a piece of shrapnel Commander, we thought you weren't going to make it.

Locke : How long have I been here?

MO : Two weeks sir, we've been hiding in the planet's shadow for most of the time performing repairs. Luckily certain members of the local starstation have been kind enough to render us assistance in repairs and trade supplies with us, in exchange for some spare parts and weapons.

Locke : Why are we in Red Alert now?

MO : About 15 mins ago the GCV First Light entered the system, followed by the ICV Nevermore. They haven't detected us as we engaged our cloak soon after they jumped in. They have not fired upon each other and are holding near the jump -

Locke : Have you contacted Cmdr. Akira on the Nevermore?

MO : Comm systems are down sir, we can't send or receive any messages. Repair crews are still trying to figure out what the problem is, but the damage appears to be deeper than was first thought. In any case, we haven't had any comms since the past 2 weeks.

Locke : Do we have jump capability, weapons, launch control, anything??

MO : We have launch control sir, but as for weapons and shielding only minimal power. You must understand nearly half of our engineering crew was killed in the collision, and nearly a third of the marines. Luckily the entire bridge crew survived, but we are in bad shape sir.

Locke : Akira can't be a traitor, there must be an explanation. Anyway I'm not going to risk the crew to find out. Send all non -essential personnel to the shuttles and prepare for their immediate evacuation. If it even LOOKS like we're in any danger I want those shuttles out of here and to the nearest jump point.

On my mark, drop the cloak and the shields and send out an S.O.S.

Locke : All or nothing. Damn, I hope we're doing the right thing. Oh well, hope my hunch on Akira's loyalties is right, else this is going to be a really short SOS broadcast.

Locke : Mark.

{/RP}

hehe about time you guys remember i'm still sitting in this system smile.gif at least I now have an excuse for being inactive so long smile.gif

Rattler: Glad to have you along Jester.

Message to all Specter Fleet...Maintain Cloaking and Full Shield Power. As we exit the jump point, immediatley target ISS HQ, but DO NOT FIRE!! I repeat, DO NOT FIRE!!!

We'll sit here and wait on the All Clear from Chavik and Akira. If I do not hear something from both of them, We open fire and keep firing until there's nothing left for First Light to come home to. Is this understood?

I gave my word to DeSylva that we wouldn't interfere with the meeting, but I didn't give away our ability to retaliate, should he not keep his. So, Be Alert, Be Vigilant, and Be Carefull. We don't want any accidents. Just Standby.......

Ooohoo, that's nasty. Do you realise how much trouble you are going to get me in, Rattler, when GALCOM High Command found out I incited a full-scale blockade of Saturn? Man, the **** is going to hit the fan!

So let me see...We have Wraith standing by, the entire Insurgent fleet pointed at ISSHQ - don't you scratch her, I polished the entire infrastructure just last week - Chavik, Akira, Ramsay, and I in Polaris, with the mostly destroyed At All Costs...great.

Antti, you wanna mobilise your boys and get them over to Saturn? No firing, understand? Just hang around in case one of those Insurgents "accidentally" bumps the fire button...*grin*.

Of course, I'm sure you'll realise, this is all in the name of security. I don't expect for one minute that any shots will be fired. Our main aim in this exercise is to get Alun Tringad out of Polaris and back to Sol space safely. So, no shooting, girls and boys!

I'll be gone for the weekend. Try not to do too much while I'm gone! *grin*.

Yours,

DeSylva.
