Supreme Cmdr
heh, I'm sure we'll run into you in Procyon Rattler.btw, I won't be posting to the RPG thread until I have uploaded the mission this weekend. Ben Somerset
SC, in the mission, will our ships already be adequately provisioned (i.e. Radine, Plutonium, Iridium, combat kits, medicine, etc.), or will there be some trading required before the mission takes place? Guest Commander Hamblin
SC, assuming our ships will be adequately provisioned...will we have more than enough Radiation control units? Man, those things are so useful, but I never have enough ('Cos they're so expensive ) and I always go around with my crew dieing, which is annoying.Oh well, doesn't really matter, actually. SpcFX
Hamblin,Most likely you'll be leaving Galcom HQ with your BC in it's stock configuration. Anything you desire to take along will need to be aquired through other means. Whatever the case, this is going to be a blast ------------------ Cmdr Mark Giao GCV-Jackal Official BC3K Tester

Supreme Cmdr
Actually I created a Playmod script that gives some supplies and weaponry. I didn't alter any personnel stats. You won't need to trade for anything and Fleet C&C will be active without Karl having to be on the ship.Just start the game, quit, run the script. Continue. Once the combat is over, I'll watch the stories as they unfold and pick people at random to send me their saved games. If anyone cheated by using Playmod (other than the commands I jammed in their), we'll know. The new format for BCM allows the craft to launch from any station (specifically for multiplayer reasons) as well as a complimentary script command that allows you to do the same thing via a script. I was tempted to port those lines of code over to v2.09 so that I could have everyone launch from Orion (since thats where we all were) instead of GHQ (the default), but I decided against it. Which is why, if you read my latest entry, you'll see that we should all head back to GHQ for supplies. I could have hard-coded the Orion station as the new default launch platform (one line of code), but I didn't want to do a special 2.09 build just for this RPG hobby. So, I killed that idea in my head, pretty quick.[This message has been edited by Supreme Cmdr (edited 11-13-1999).]

Charles Lindsey
Hope I'm not too late. Took me a while to decide where to be. I was leaning towards Sygan anyway so I hope it doesn't look like I cheated. It's as good an excuse as any to be out and about. If it messes the story up I'll remove the post. Now on to Blades Thread. Charles
Supreme Cmdr
Your post is fine Charles. You guys are rumored to be operating in the Procyon region anyway, so, even if you guys ended up there, it would be legal. However, nobody should post anything related to deployment to the region of conflict, nor any combat engagement until I release the script. Even then, deployment posts would come after I release the script and those who want to post everyday, based on their on-going play of the campaign, can do so. My final post (I will be playing the campaign too btw) will signal the OK for us to start posting about the skirmish. So, make notes as you play and then use those to provide your accounting. Badgerius
Sc, I have a request.Due to demands on my time, energy, and sanity, plus the fact that the Diligence is currently a convertible, I won't be able to play in this campaign. However, I thought, since you are writing us in as AI ships anyway, if you couldn't put my new ship, the GCV Calypso, into the script. Just have her in Earth space, doing nothing. That would be very cool. She's a Solnar class Cruiser, Terran/Scientist.------------------ Commander Badgerius, GCV Diligence On detached duty, GCV Calypso ICQ 48801556

Blades
Paperwork ..... there is always paperwork.I got a question. Guest Cmdr Josh Dilvorn
I don't know about anyone else but I see you as a green fleet commander who, in order to avoid being responsible for his fleet, and maybe even the loss of lives that could occur in a real life conflict, passed the duty down to his immediate subordinate while hiding behind the administrative side of his post. However I reckon that you will soon be wishing that you were out there amongst the action trading IOD fire with the masses of highly trained ememy ships with the sole purpose of killing you, or at least making your life a living hell, instead of sitting with paperwork towering over your head in a cramped, stuffy office. But hey, what do I know... Guest Commander Hamblin
Bloody hell, you think YOU guys are inexperienced, what about me? I'm VERY, VERY inexperienced in the ways of managing a fleet. I mean, I've handled a few small time Star Wars/Star Trek fleets (And one of those was really hectic, I tell you what. But, that's not really relevent to this topic) in my time, but never something as big, complex and well organised as a BC3K fleet. When multiplayer comes out, lol, I'm probably gonna get lost in the storm.AND, Blades, you gave me this Procyon thing to do. So I did what any good fleet Commander would do. I passed it down to MY subordinates, hehe. But don't take this as a sign that I want to resign! No, no, I love my new job. Plus, I am ambitious for new challenges, and this job certainly looks like a new challenge, hehe.
