Mikel: Ouch, that was a while back. OK. Caught me not knowing everything. It's why I asked. smile.gif

Caine: We are using the in game ranking. The "captain" of a BC is a commander. That's it. That's your rank. Or it's your title if you will. But it is one and the same. There was a huge discussion on this awhile back. Derek finally laid down the law.

you would be (in no particular order)

UCV (ship name)

When I came back to the world of the living, I tried to open my eyes, and when I

did it was a bright light. I winced and close them again, then open one eye then the other. I was now out of the medibay, and I think I was in the cargo bay due to boxes of cargo around me. I decided to look down at my feet again and notice that it looked like I gained a protheis on my damaged foot and the other seemed better. I was also aware that I wasnÔÇÖt on gurney anymore but lying on the cold hard floor. I grabed a nearby box and pulled myself up. Right when I put pressue on my new foot pain came streaming into my synapsis and I fell down again. After I decided to crawl and find something I could use as a crutch till some of the pain goes away. After crawling over several people I found a ambadoned piece of metal that would be perfect for the time being. I tried again and this time success, I limped over to the doorway, opened it and walked out into the halls, on long the way I picked a riffle from a dead merc. I decided to head to the bridge and see if that was still operating....

SS Vulture

Bridge

The standoff between Caine and Gallion continued unchanged, and it was beginning to irk Caine. He had not even recieved a response to his questions after standing for several minutes.

He took that time to digest his current situation. His ship was sitting at gunpoint, as was he. If it was just a one-on-one, he would have stood a slim chance. But having two people watching him, one with an automatic weapon (it is automatic, right?) made it impossable.

As he considered though, it became less likely for the man to pull the trigger. If the shot went even slightly wide, Rattler could get caught by the fire, and it was assured that there would be several stray bullets to blow apart the few consoles that still worked.

The more he thought about it, the more convinced he became, and he began to slowly move. The instant his right foot left the deck, Yost aimed the rifle directly at Caine's head, a little red dot landing right between his eyes. (Again, if it has a targeting laser. If not, I'll edit)

Caine froze in position. "Look, I've been standing for a while now, and would app-" He was interrupted by the sound of a dull thunk behind him. His head jerked, and pain lanced through him as one of the four mercs that had been escorting him retracted the butt of his rifle. Caine's eyes glazed over, and he fell to the deck unconscious. A spot of blood appeared on the back of his head.

The merc just shrugged innocently, the rifle in his left hand. "I got tired 'o waitin'"

Blades, Akira is probably dead by now and you have yet to move the crew to Nina's ship... What say we get a move on? Otherwise, I may find an interesting way to pull Akira out of trouble (i.e., i'm getting tired of my alter ego being abused by EarthCOM).

Some fine fun writing here, it's just getting a bit long in the tooth smile.gif

I'm forced to say that in this case, I agree with both Akira and Gallion. We should get this going again. And in this case, I think being in agreement with a pair of Insurgents won't earn me a quick court-martial. wink.gif

I seriously agree, but I'll be gone for a while, starting today. I'll be back on Easter Sunday to check up on the board, and will probably add some stuff after I read it (will definitely post that monday). I'm goin to Los Angeles for my Spring Break. Well see you all later. I just might come here once or twice using someone else's computer. Bye!

I can see where you fellas are coming from and personally I never feel a story is long enough, but that's just me. Anyway let's just remember not to rush our writings in order to quicken the plot (there are other ways). Because rushing a story is like shouting "Macbeth" at the top of your lungs on opening night. wink.gif

Ok.

We move on from my next post. I'll tidy up a few points and get this thing where it should be. I've been rather tied up of late, so you'll have to excuse me there. Main plot will get back into focus - side lines will have to wait for another time to be resolved.

If you have any final posts relating to this current section, make them now and tie up all the loose ends you can. 24 hours from now part four begins .... and it will move us nice n quick into part five, which will be the explosive finale.

Commander Chavik sat in his room wondering what would come next. He had managed to get a few energy cells out of the data pads while all the arguing was going on in the briefing room. He fiddled with the soles of his shoes for a moment trying to get them open. Having been walked on they were not as easy to open as they had been in the lab. He was about ready to use his laser "pointer" when one of them finally popped open. Realizing the secret he quickly opened the other and retrieved the remaining pieces of his pistol. He slid an energy cell into the appropriate chamber and was gratified to see the pistol begin the charging sequence.

While pondering exactly what he was going to do with the thing while he fished out one of the other energy cells. He'd brought the nails now where the hell was the damn hammer? The ship they were on had no missile capability. Chavik doubted they would even be able to get one to dumb fire out of a cargo bay if they had too. He almost laughed. First they had to get them aboard first. If Blades hadn't already discovered the three small blips tailing them. If they were actually being tailed at all. Chavik had gambled heavily on the shuttle's sensors being able to detect him aboard the Vulture. He could only hope that they had maintained the original lock when he had walked aboard.

No sooner had he made the thought than an announcement came over the comms. Chavik cursed. He was no way prepared for a situation like this. The glee of having a functional weapon aboard the Vulture turned to glum as he realized the weapon might only be able to get a shot or two off. He quickly equipped his suit with an energy cell and activated it. As Chavik slowly vanished the gammulan troopers began invading the ship.

In the darkness of space three shuttles slowly gained on thier tentative target lock. Suddenly it was lost. A young Zelon wondered what had happened. The shuttles came to a halt while the computers searched for the target. . Several minutes later the lock was re-established and the three shuttles once again tried to reach their objective.
