Mail Bombed

Well, shortly after I left the Terminus board last night, I got hit with a 500+ message mailbomb. Below is one of them, complete with header info, which I've sent to pobox.com and the FBI section that deals with that sort of thing.

The idiot didn't realize that I do a mail scan on my server first, before downloading my mail. So when I saw 586 messages on there, alarm bells went off. So, I did a header search, grabbed the important emails and one of the mailbombs and just deleted everything on the server.

Nice folks, huh?

hehehe, technology at its finest. Little do the majority of the people using the net know how easy it is to trace these types of activities.

If the perpretrator knew wht it was doing then there would have been false trail(s) and what-not left about.

What an *******. If he's gonna do a mailbomb, he should be a bit more careful and actually try to hide himself.

Why would someone do that? That's shameful and idiotic! I hope he learns a lesson when the autorities arrest him...They can you know...If you've got all the info...They'll arrest him.

What exactly the penalty if convicted of hacking? Their is a law for this sort of criminal behavior.

Ye gets to spend time within the confines of various penal locations scattered about the country (US). During which, Bubba and Billy Bob will have the perpretrator hobbin' and bobbin' for the duration in incarceration.

Good point Josh. I've edited it out. The method's beyond script kiddies anyway.

Kron, mailbombing isn't hacking, it's being a moron.

I disagree - it's being an unenlightened jerk with too much time on your hands.
