Epsilon 5
http://www.politicalcompass.org/ Take the test. Some of the question seem a little crude, but I like it. I end up being a Libertarian Left, -3.50 / -3.59, a little more to the center than Gandhi Thanks Rm
Raven
Yep, pretty crude. I'm on the neutral right, 5.12/-0.

DraconisRex
The test says that I'm a Leftist/Libertarian, although barely on the Libertarian part... -3.38/-0.27 Although my leanings may be to the left, I still hold to my ascertion that I am not a Democrat or a Republican -- I am an American, and hold to my beliefs that no American should be hyphenated, or discriminated against, because of their ethnic, religious, or political backgrounds, nor because of the color of their skin, their sex, their sexual orientation, etcetera. I do not feel that the United States has the right, at any level (to include the court systems,) to deny Prayer in Schools or saying the Pledge of Allegience at the option of the child. To remove that option is to oppress; Freedom of religion also means freedom from oppression, which is the primary reason 80% of Americans came to these shores, be it political, religious, financial, or simply the desire to be free. When the Federal Court in California made it illegal for Prayer to exist in schools, they committed a criminal act, in my opinion. quote: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. The Federal Government is specifically forbidden by the First Amendment to interfere with The Peoples' right to practice religion at any level. It doesn't say the courts are subject to this law -- it doesn't have to. This was a Federal Court, which means it represents Congress when it passes any new law, and must not act against the Constitution. It did so anyway. Which means the law is unconstitutional, and should be fought with all our might, since it denies democracy by its action. Freedom with oppression is a lie. Menchise
I don't need a political compass to tell me that I'm a libertarian socialist, but that's exactly what it said. Guest
quote: Actually it does. I would have expected a 3 or 4 there. ] Excuse me? I am not authoritarian, I am a constitutionalist. I believe that the free market should be free to regulate itself, and I believe that people should be left alone. I do not want to think FOR you, I want you to THINK for yourself. I don't want to take care of you, I want you to take care of yourself. Nothing authoritarian about it. I am a constitutionalist, and PROUD OF IT!! Menchise
quote:I have no clue what it means. The results are explained at the end of the test. The compass is a good design when compared to the 'left-right' spectrum, and the test is well-done, but it's no substitute for self-description and debate.
