I was sitting at home, minding my own businesses,, eating my dinner when my cell phone beeped.

Looking at it i say i had a text message. it read "LOOSE 23LBS IN 2 WEEKS!!brand new diet pill call (877)651-8207". Spam is now officially out of hand. i urge all of you to spam the email account i received the text message from, [email protected] .

That just sucks, I keep getting a really weird call on my home phone, like 3 times a day. It's a data signal of some sort, I wonder if this is what it is.

Spam on your cell phone, wonder what's next? Spam on your TV as they hack the new HD signals? Little popup screen giving you a commercial of some sort while you watch TV?

I also am now seeing commercials on DVD movies, for all kinds of garbage. It's amazing....

Cell phone spam will quickly be ruled illegal, if not theft. The same principle as the original fax spam applies: they were stealing your paper to fax you unwanted ads, they are stealing your connect minutes to send you unwanted ads. It's not the same as land lines where you pay a fixed price for all telephone calls.

Is it me? Ever since that spam bill was passed these companies seem to have gotten worse.

I very rarely got spam messages on my answering machine but now it's like overkill. I've been getting alot of blank messages too that just suck up my message alotment. Do you think these companies are just overly defiant towards that spam bill?

Anyway I do have a fix for the fax spam problem that most everyone here at my end loves. Either send them a bill for a $1 for the paper and ink the've used on you or take a blank fax sheet and a black marker and in huge lettering write on that paper "NO THANK YOU!" and make sure the letters are nice and big taking up the whole sheet and use as much black marker ink as possible and just place this generic letter in a folder to keep it neat for the next fax spammer. That should suck up alot of their ink as well as tie up their fax line even more. If every fax spam recipient did this, can you imagine how much ink the target company would use up and I think they'd get the message. Fight Fire with Fire is what I say.

I get occassional spam on my fax, NEVER on my cell phone (*knocks on wood*) and donotcall.gov registry has been a godsend on my home phone!!

I have received exactly ONE telemarketer since Oct. 7, the day my phone went into effect on donotcall.gov. When I told them I was on the list, she asked me for an ID #. I said "If you insist on asking that again my first question to you will be what is the name of your business?". With that she hung up.

BTW, if you get cell phone spam, you can probably blame your provider for selling their list, because I'm pretty sure those #s don't get published anywhere.

Thats nuthin'. I keep getting one from some chic asking me to go check out her assets.

Then there's that guy who seems to think I've run out of Viagra for some odd reason.

Oh wait!! There's more. Once I got one from a guy who was clearly determined to sell me an extension of sorts.

You get this if you subscribe to your cell phone provider's text messaging system. Since I canceled my, spam's gone. Instead I use Sprint's 1XRITT network via my iPaq and I don't get ANY spam whatsovever.
