Gallion
Hide the peyote ... I'm a having a flashback Nice deconstruction sequence and the visual stimuli is quite appealing to me. All those purty colours flashing and componet seperation, gathering speed - leaving tracers in their wake.Nice, very nice. I can see those pea-shooter drivers now deconstructing, then explanding, and then mingling their matter in with the cosmic dust TTFN[This message has been edited by Gallion (edited 06-23-2000).]

Eclipse
lookin good SC. I do have a question, are the planets being retextured? from some of the pics it looks like some have sharper texturing and others still look like the BC3K textures. ------------------ Cmdr. Supreme Cmdr
There's no reason to re-texture them. Why? did you expect Earth to have changed in 10 years? (BCM starts in 3010). At higher than 640x480 resolution, they'll be smoother of course. All those shots were taken at 1024x768, in case you didn't notice.
Eclipse
No, I didn't it's just the texture for the moon and mars looked much better than that texture on the other planet in the pics. I was just wondering if you were reding the textures on them or not.------------------ Cmdr. Antilles Spectre Fleet Spectre Starstation ICV- Eclipse Chief Security Officer Learning is not compulsory... Supreme Cmdr
OK, I see what you mean. The textures for all the 9 planets, and the moon, were derived from NASA data so the resolution is a lot better. The ones for the other planets, were done by an internal tool and so, even at the same size (1024x512), the NASA ones are a lot smoother. Also, your eye perceives the difference because you are already familiar with the looks of the nine planets. So, you can easily see the color spectrum differences that make up the two types of maps.
