If you have the money-- id say go for the 6800. RTW runs pretty well on a 9800 pro but a friend of mine says he does get problems with games from time to time.

I do believe that nobody should complain about the aid they get as long as they are getting some. But we SHOULD lend out aid to other countries to situations like this. Did we really need aid when the WTC went down? Did we really need aid when we went into Iraq? Hell no we did not-- we are more than capable of doing these things ourselves and would probably be better off doing it ourselves as foreign aid would just end up getting in the way. I guess its just me but every time I look at the political forums, America seems more like the evil empire instead of the kind 'big brothers' that we should be. Though I wouldnt blame any country for looking out for its own interests... Its too high maintiance to help out the rest of the world (though its done anyway).

I thought we had the new Morrowind and Civilization 4 to look foward to? I hope so anyway- I dont want to wait until 2006 for those two games.

Yes...christmas is a time of giving. After buying prezzies for everyone else, ive decided its time for me to get a little something for myself. Too long have I lived in the world of just two speakers for my computer. Now I want input from other people so I can make my decision on what to get. SO FAR--ive got my eye on the logitech z-5300. Its got what I want and it isnt terribly expensive. Any suggestions? Also what sort of soundcard should I look into? The Audigy 2 just looks like it has more crap on it than I am going to use. So help me out guys!

No, they are not as exciting as Freespace 2. Id say the combat (fighters and cap ships) is similar to BC except the capships dont have main guns...only turrets. Your heart tends to beat a little faster in BC when you take damage because you know your crew are dying. Bottom line: you either like it or you hate it. It all depends on what you want to do in a 'do what you want' game like BC or X2. I personally enjoyed both games and I encourage you to at least check out the demos for X2.

BC and X2 do have their pros and cons... Like Soback said though, X2 and BC are at two different ends of the spectrum. You should really try both if you have the money as they are both really good. What one game is lacking in, the other excels in. Just a few to name... Thats what im talkin' about! The only thing I hate about x2 is my tendency to become a trillionaire instead of wiping out the boron which should be my true mission.

I picked up this game a while ago and personally, I think its a great game. However the learning curve is HUGE! It took me three days to figure out how to release the 'chocks' on the carrier which lets your plane move. Of course with my sorry gunnery skills it would probably be better if I was left of the carrier lol.

sending the world wide web? Great way to represent the human race by sending aliens millions of gigs worth of porn and spam. That is like a declaration of war! I like the idea of spamming the britticanna across the galaxy though. Prehaps there is other intelligent life out there at our level or greater but we just havent been saying 'anyone there?!' loud enough.

CS:S is much more fun than cs:cz or 1.6. When I first played it though I had to relearn how to 'shoot' if you cam make sense out of that. The weapons seem to fire differently.

Agreed. The comedy at the beginning of the game is gold too--which you would only fully understand if you played HL. Perfect blend of action and storytelling....ahhhh I LOVE IT

Lucky fools.... A friend of mine who works at EB also got a copy of HL2 before the 16th....Though she didnt know that it was not supposed to be released until then probably like the other retailers. Makes me wish I didnt order the game through steam .
