  2. Yeah, I caught it on AmazonPrime as well. Need to make time to see it on the big screen when it opens this week I think.
  3. Yeah, we have a lot of balancing and tweaks to do because even though most of the assets are from the IP mythos, this is a different sort of game (smaller world etc) and so we need more testing and balancing.
  4. Are you guys aware of this space combat sim? I backed it on Kickstarter, though it is highly unlikely that it will get the funding needed to complete the game. You can download the demo on their website.
  5. Unless you're camping the LOD website, you probably don't know that we have now updated 99% of the asset database entries. Now you have full data on all the game's assets. A few more classes (probes, stations etc) still need to be done and that will make the dB 100% complete. So go check it out at http://lodmmo.com
  6. Excuse me. What checkered history would that be exactly?
  7. The early demo of the original game from 1993 can be downloaded from this link. Battlecruiser 3000AD (1st game in the series) v3 demo - 1993 You can also find the full builds of the original Take Two and Interplay releases below. Battlecruiser 3000AD v1.01D7C (Take Two 1996) Battlecruiser 3000AD v2.09 (Interplay 1998)
  8. Works just fine for me. Steve will always land. The key is to get to the extraction point and draw the enemy toward you. They will spend more time chasing after your team and less time engaging Steve. Here is what the gist of the mission is (from the description) Do not make the mistake of sticking around. As soon as the mission starts, locate Steve's landing location on the map and make a beeline for it. You may have to stop a few times to engage higher AI snipers, but you should keep moving, then make your last stand at the landing site.
  9. A bunch of shots and news for LOD will be released next week during the E3 Expo in LA. For now, I have released some teaser shots on the game's Facebook page. If you haven't already, now would be the time to like the page, spread the word etc.
  10. It is a near impossible mission. Otherwise known as a suicide mission. Once you figure this out, you only need to get out of the base and join Burke and Brad at Starbase Alpha in order for the mission to be regarded as a success for which you get 5K EP and a medal. If you foolishly stick around and do destroy starbase Charlie, you get a huge additional 15K EP bonus and a medal. And you get bonus EP and medals (!) for destroying the HAV and ATV at Starbase Charlie who keep sending murderous troops your way.
  11. I just checked the ucce_GBSIV_full.zip archive I linked to in my post above and it does contain the correct parser for v2.0 in the "ucce_v2" folder. So yes - it should actually work. I just tested it and it works just fine. So you probably have something else going on with your install and/or script or you are using the wrong PREPARE.EXE parser (which should be .\ucce_v2\prepare.exe) and folder (which should be the files in .\ucce_vs)
  12. GBC IV is not, never was, never will be supported in UCCE v2.0. If you look at the differences between UCCE and UCCE 2.0, you will see why that is. Hence the reason it was never promoted as supporting it.
  13. Yeah, once LOD is out this year, GCO is getting our full attention again. Since it uses the same engine, most of the work is going to be in the content creation because GCO has over 10x more assets than LOD. In fact, GCO has way more assets than even UCCE does; if you can imagine that. So it's looking a lot like a 2015 game.
  14. An update and LOTS of new shots are up!! http://lodmmo.com/news/13-01-18/
  15. Yeah - and the good news is that it plays completely differently from Line Of Defense
  16. Disconnecting is not the same as dying. Also, since the game is client-server based, you can't rage quit either just because you're about to die from a well place shot. The server knows if you were hit or not and whether or not you should die. So even if you rage quit/disconnect, you still die.
  17. Moving along at a brisk pace. Lots of new info coming in the New Year.
  18. So uhm, who is playing it and what do you think? So far, the general consensus is not so good. Which is pretty much like the original Planetside.
  19. It will not be changed. The gameplay has serious consequences. If you die, you lose whatever it is you are carrying. When you re-spawn, you have to go get new gear. If you already have inventory storage, just pull it up and get something from your stash. So, don't go running around with a backpack full of ammo and such because if you die, you lose everything - but only if someone is around to grab it. Your stuff will persist in the game world for a period of time so you can go back and get it when you re-spawn.
  20. No it is not. For one thing, the world is already fully built and no such features were planned nor going to be planned. To see what the current bases look like, check the game's website. New shots/movies coming soon.
  21. Highly unlikely that this will be funded.
  22. I have yet to check this one out. I will try to do it over the holidays next week.
