Is there anything else I can do to get the game not to crash? Easy! Throw away the VIA Motherboard
  2. quote:Originally posted by Epsilon 5: I just LOVE the Atlanta RPG main theme song Looking forward to xp1 even more. Thank you very much! I really appreciate your enthusiastic comment! Ajanta Main Theme is in FUTURES PAST Album... and you need to know also that in this album there are only few of the songs i've composed for videogames. The songs in the Album are the ones the developers gave me the permission to publish at my webpage and are not the best themes i've composed The best themes are "top secret", as the ones i'm composing for XP1 and as the ones i've composed for Imagimotion. Imagimotion is an italian softwarehouse that after summer will publish a new rpg similar to Gothic (i am authorized only to tell you this, the rest is top secret) but practically with a totally different interface, storyline, background and so on. I'm well known in Italy cause i've composed themes for many italian projects and i'm sure my talent will bring a top score in music in all the reviews of XP1 that the magazines will publish next September and October. This is what i sweared to myself and to Derek and it will be so: We'll have the top score in music. But i'm sure we'll have the top score for all the game review sections, graphics, gameplay, sound, etc. etc. As i said in previous posts... this summer will be a summer all the world will remember
  3. quote:Originally posted by Dredd: Could you sue them for libel? Saying it crashes 90% of the time on top end machines seems a little unlikely... Uhmmm... i think it is not necessary a war. But that review is really absurd and everyone could understand it easily. At the end, PC Zone reviewers and editors libeled themselves. They lost many fans in this way and this attack to Derek will hurt their sellings... I'll not buy anymore PC Zone and i'll ask all my friends and contacts not to buy it anymore. Many will understand my request and will be happy to burn the PC Zone magazines they have at home.
  4. quote:Originally posted by Duncan Idaho: Spiderman's problems are the same as mine. I have random 'occasional' CTD's, but not too often, I can't gripe about that. But the corrupted saves, that's the annoying one. I am using the recommended 22.80 Nvidia drivers, and thorough reading of the board shows that I have the recommended drivers for all my hardware. No bios options, (AGP4X, Fast Writes, etc.) have any affect on this problem. As Spiderman stated, this problem occurs on Win98SE for me. This is very strange cause i've got also Windows 98 SE and i've never had such problems. Probably it's because i run the italian version... i don't know. Windows XP italian version is really bugged while the 98 SE is very stable... strange uh? I've got three machines, two for work (connected to studio recording stuff and equipment, i don't think you wanna know the specs hehehe i don't run games there) and one for playing games and surfing the net. This "playing machine" is a PIII 800mhz, Cusl2c motherboard (a very stable motherboard) and 384mb ram, SB Live! and Geforce 2. Never had any problems with BC Millennium... probably it's the Cusl2c which seems to be a gamers paradise, while VIA motherboards are less stable, especially for PCI transfers (and so a worst audio card efficiency, more graphics/audio resources incompatibilities and so on...) 5. Have you seen the Metacritic score? http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/...isermillennium# Well... what about pumping up the average user rating? Rate the game and be honest (which means give 9 on 10 or more! hehehe LOL) [ 01-20-2002: Message edited by: Vanethian ]
  6. quote:Originally posted by Duncan Idaho: Looking forward to hearing that new XP1 soundtrack. On the LOTR movie: I also saw Lord of the Rings just before Christmas, what a movie. I didn't dress up for it though. Others who came to see it were dressed as Wizards, and hobbits. I got a particular laugh out of 2 of those dressed as hobbits: They were both over 6 feet tall...kinda took the 'charm' right out of the image, heheh. Idaho Hehehehehehe LOOOOOL Well... did they have also shoes? i hope not, cause hobbits do not wear shoes Our italian hobbits went to the theatre without shoes... well... probably they are crazy! LOL This is why i didn't dress as hobbit! hehehehe
  7. quote:Originally posted by Fractux: That's a good story. Must have been quite a blast BTW I was just listening to some of your tracks on MP3.com, and you've composed some wicked songs. Glad I'll be listening to your tunes while I play in XP1 as BCM is one of those rare games that I always leave the music up as I find it really get's my mind going while I play. Cheers! Thanks Well, the XP1 soundtrack will be mainly orchestral as "Echoes of the Past TV Series soundtrack" which i've composed months ago and uhmmm... consider the tracks at my mp3.com webpage of a 7.5 on 10 points quality level while the XP1 soundtrack will be 10 on 10 points quality level! This is because i'm working very very hard day and night... i sweared i'll compose a great soundtrack and the BCM series deserves an Hollywood quality film music soundtrack. 8. The PCZ review is really absurd... Millennium unstable? bad implemented features? It's absurd also the comment on Derek Smart... Having a publisher let you understand the flaws?!?!? well... i know many publishers and i've reviewed many games... never never and never happened that a publisher would help a developer to improve a game... but the opposite. The developer always tries to develop the game he has in mind and usually he need time to, while the publisher just want the game to be finished as soon as possible, without many desires of real game qualities... the publishers just want to sell, they don't want to produce quality products... Damn... it's difficult to explain in english what i think in italian i hope i've been able to explain my thoughts...
  9. Hello friends... well... yesterday i've been at the first day in italian theatres of Fellowship of the Ring. I and other 60 men and women went there in medieval dresses We didn't pay the ticket, cause the theatre owner considered us an incredible resource for advertising his theatre i've been also interviewed by a local TV... it has been amazing! I was dressed like a magician, with blue tunic with stars and moons graphics on it and white hair and white long beard. And my woman was an half-elf with green medieval dresses and elfish symbols on her face... amazing... amazing
  10. quote:Originally posted by Urza: Gameplay wins, no questions asked. Graphics are just icing on the cake. Which brings us to the many games that are all icing and no cake. Of course Gameplay wins. Gameplay is the most important factor... I think that Millennium is the best space simulation of the century and it will be the PERFECT simulation with XP1. This summer will be a summer everyone will remember!
  11. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: hehe, he actually reviewed it, then contacted me about doing the music track for XP1 (thats how much he liked the game). So, I figured, why not? In fact, he has already done two music tracks in the past two weeks. Man, they are *incredible*. Well... what can i say? Thanks, SC! Uhmmm.. i think we can say the tracks are orchestral, right? only this... and... well boys... you'll have to buy XP1 to listen to this amazing soundtrack! It is not available at my website, of course, so don't search for it! XP1 will be an incredible addon... and the soundtrack will be of the same incredible quality level of all the other game aspects... so spread the word... we want to conquer the space sim gaming industry!
  12. quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Its supposed to be a kick-ass review.... It IS a kick-ass review oh well... the reviewer has also my same name... soooooo strange LOL [ 01-19-2002: Message edited by: Vanethian ]

  14. quote:Originally posted by kk7gw: What Gallion said is incorrect. XP is completely based off the Windows 2000 kernel, and will recognize and support 4 GB of RAM. Windows 95/98/ME have been hamstrung without tweaks at anything above 512 MB, but XP has NOTHING to do with those operating systems. XP will support 4 GB just fine. English people are lucky The Italian versions of Windows XP are bugged and have problems with more than 512mb of RAM... well... uhmmm... i hope they'll fix the problem before this summer cause i need more RAM and i HAVE TO upgrade to XP. 15. quote:Originally posted by Pyros: I am inbetween upgrading my pc, but I have a recuring error I would like to squash before I go xp pro and 40gb hd end of month. Uhmmm... the answers you received in this thread are all correct, but i would ask you another thing. Do you run any firewalls?
  16. quote:Originally posted by Jaguar: Today, I got a hit, a BIG hit. A company out of Southern California has offered me the position of National Sales Manager. The catch is that I have to move to Southern California.OK, here is where I need the advice, as many of you know, I am progun, antigovernment, etc etc ad nauseum, and when I even consider Southern California, you have to know that it sounds like an excellent opportunity. I think it's a BIG OPPORTUNITY, yes... Well... i am italian and we italians are not very happy to move from our home town but in the future we will have to change "this tradition" The future is mobility and if you have a great deal in another city, even if not a city you like... well, you can't miss the train. Don't worry about politics and other things... just go there and see if you can develop this opportunity. If you'll be successful then your destiny decided so If not... well... there are many other opportunities in the world... search and find another one
