First of all Dredd, reading your post made me feel a pit in my chest. So I throw you a Big Hugg! I didn't start a career path til I was 26. I am 32 now. Until then I was like Lydia in Beetle Juice, just very dark and depressed. I had a ton of pointless jobs. The one I loved couldn't pay my bills. blah blah blah. Then I got into the financial industry. I work for a Transfer Agent, they do the Customer Service and Individual Account up-keep for huge mutual fund companys. I loved it! I started in 96, I had just ended a bad relationship and I was on a role burning up the ladder. I was moving up every 6 months. Then I met a guy, got married and worked all the time. When I got pregnant with my first, my whole world changed. My son, who was born on my 30th Birthday and he changed my whole world. I had my daughter last December and she now adds a spring to my step. Even though I sense she will be very high maintenance. I got up to a managment position, but have since stepped down to a project position. To me the job just isn't as important as my kids, but it is necessary to live the life I want for us. The project position also changes daily, which helps keep me interested. I have to admit I have been in a rut for a while. So I got rid of the bum causing it, and me and the kids are gearing up for a hell of a life! I used to wonder what it was all for, why I had to get up each day and do the same thing over and over. Now I know. It is to get these two little souls I was blessed with ready for their own journey. Now I just pray for them that it is happy and long. So whether it be work or family or whatever. The day you find your purpose (and you will) it is all water under the bridge. Take care!

Can you open this for me? hahaha (attempt at being cute) You guys are going to think I am soooo lame. Oh well what do I care anyway!!! No really. I want to get a cd burner. Problem is I have no idea what to get. I don't even know if it makes a difference. Can anyone help me? I am looking for like a brand name, simple functions, and if internal or external is better. Money isn't really an issue. I should also note, I got this computer in 98 (I think) and will be keeping it until it blows up or Cd's become a memory like 8 tracks. Thanks!

I dread Wednesday!!! School Starts! I have a 12 year old cousin we inherited. He likes to not wash his hands and wipe his nose on his sleeve then pick up and hug Shane! Last year Shane had a cough for 3 months(He always ends up with RSV really bad, they say it gets better after 2 years. He'll be 3 in Feb.) I got in trouble because he was thin at his 2 year appt. I dread this year with Lucy too (Luckily she is not prone to RSV.) I have to say she is one B*^%$y 8 mo old as it is. Mabey I will spray my cousin down with Lysol the minute he walks in the door. I avoided the hands, foot, mouth thing in July though, I think I deserve a medal for that, all my friends kids had it.

I love this story. It almost beats the video card issue I had, when you got annoyed with the guy at gateway. You know, next time you have time to kill you should tape yourself talking to a bad Customer Service Rep. I think it's priceless!!!!

Congrats!!!! Best wishes to you and your family. I am proud of you for being what appears to be a good provider , husband and father. (who know's you could really be a jerk...hahaha just kidding) I live in Mass and I don't even think you can buy land for 40,000.00 around here. Isn' it weird how differnt states are soo different.
