I've played the demo only and from what I can see UC is full of bugs The 2 FPS missions are impossible. On the first mission your rifle won't even fire on the second mission the enemy marines shoot you from a mile away with no sound through a hill. . . You go walking in one direction then clip into another direction. Everyone is screaming out in pain without being hurt and the controls are laggy with no mouse sensitivty what so ever. Destroyed buildings are still THERE because when you try to go where they were you go up into the freaking air sides ways like you've got mag boots (and ya might I know you use them in space in BCM) but there is nothing there and you get stuck. You can walk circles around the engines on the assault craft and I have no idea how to get into the side guns of these craft (maybe ya cant) space battles seem way to fast. A few shots and enemy battle cruisers explode what seems like instantly and the lag is horrible on a 2 gig machine with Raedon 9800 pro. Now if the retail version of UC is anything like this that guy is right, please guys tell me this isn't the way the actual game is! (I've got BCM and BCMG and I love both of them. Further more I don't see much better graphics in UC's demo other than improved ground troops) I'd really love to get UC but I'm just wondering if I should wait until the next version of the game comes out ?

28 Days Later is a very twisted movie and I hear it has a new ending since I saw it first that is suposed to make it even more twisted. I'm not going to give anything away but it has its gory parts and it has its funny parts. For example one of the walls in a church has this written in blood THE END IS EXTREMELY ****ING NEIGH!

I set a probe over top of the enemy, which he never noticed. What I saw was the AI being VERY tricky and VERY smart. I sent a fleet of resources away from my main fleet to gather some resources else where and noticed that as soon as they were about a forth of the way there the enemy dispatched a group. This group headed for the resources O.o I sent my frigates to defend the resourcers, and the enemy sent HIS fleet home. Then half way there he sent that fleet at my MOTHER ship, which was undefending compared to the resourcers. Thus I launched a fighter assault on one of his resources bases and caused that fleet to be recalled in defense (in HL1 the fleets never responded like that for me) After they ran my fighters off my Mothership was already in safety. This was an AI set on easy One other thing I noticed, flak frigates are stupid when it comes to the squad thing. They get into the line of fire and shoot at things they can't damage. It is best to keep flak frigates on guard missions to important and less defenseable capital ships so that they can attack hard targets with the flak frigates take out anything that comes close to them. Really the best thing for fighters is gun coverttes or interceptors. One thing I thought was an awsome add on with HW2 was the ability to target subsystems like engines and fighter building units. Also the fact that ion beams do little or no damage to these subsystems while bombers equiped with special subsystem damaging bombs can do horrible damage interests me. For once everything you build to your mothership actually shows up on the outside as well (Much like Cata) There are already cheats and exploits in use in MP that ruin the game there, but in single player it is awsome

Morrowind was a buggy release, but it was so good I played through the bugs. BCM crashed a lot out of the box for me, but just like Morrowind I play the crap out of it. No doubt BCG will crash a lot when it first comes out, Derek isn't computer god in such a way that he can fortell what his games will do on EVERY FRICKING computer out there. No one should expect that. They should be grateful that he spends his time and money on releasing patches. I've NEVER seen this website down EVER. He even talks to us low lifes and gives us movie reviews, I mean do you ever see Sid Meir do that? (Most Overrated game creator IN HISTORY!!!!!) I swear people cling to Sid Meir like he is the ultimate god of everything Sure his games are good but he didn't make them alone! Meh, to call SC a lunatic when you work for Gamespy is silly. One of the other guys doing the list has a pokemon ball for his character O.o Talk about over rated. It is rather clear none of these guys ever PLAYED Battlecruiser once it was fixed. I downloaded BC3000AD about 6 times trying to get it to work on my computer, with 56K modem. It took forever everytime, but everytime there was a new release I did it Finally I got it to run and I've been hooked ever since! SC you are the man, and I say these jerk offs need to put some more effort into their work.

I'm of a mind that it isn't really a horror film either. I find it to be a campy comedy like say, Army of Darkness. I don't know if you guys have seen 28 days later but I consider that to be a very good horror film. Not because it is gory (and it is in parts) but because it makes you wonder, what would you do if something like that happened to you. What would you do if you were the last living person among zombies that contain your friends and family in their ranks? Personally I just sit and laugh through randomly gory horror movies with no story line. But tremble if gore is used "correctly" to shock the hell out of you at just the right moment. For example in Event Horizone (SP) when they show the guy holding his own eye balls and speaking Latin. I don't know about you but Latin scares me enough as it is (Nuns!) and eye ball holding nastiness only adds to such fears. In other words, SC you're right Movie sucked

I am waiting for battle cruiser generations so I can become active again BUT whilst waiting I Have come across this REALLY REALLY BAD PIECE OF CRAP! This is a review from Gamespy.com for the most overrated games of all time! Look how they bash our beloved god! I SERIOUSLY think you could sue them for this rancid shyt! Gamespy I mean, they compare this great game of ours (Which I have been playing in private to this day)to games like Battletoads and Mortal Kombat! That isn't really the bad part though, the bad part is what they say directly about SC I Wish I could choke these guys with my rage powered fists of DHOOM! I think it is funny that people are posting bad reviews about BCMG basd on BC3k O.o Not to mention when I first read the review of BC3k when it came out I was like, "wow, kewl game. To bad it has bugs." Then I waited and you guys released a new version for free O.o It still didn't work for me. I downloaded it over and over again with a standard dial-up modem. Finally when you release that final version you have now of BC3K I downloaded it via Underdogs and got it to work. I loved that game so much. When I saw that BCM was already out I baught it right away and I've been hooked ever since. My friends hate me because I Won't shut up about how this game is so much better than whatever game they have ;P My friend is Beta testing for Starwars Galaxies and all I say is, "THAT'S NOTHING COMPARED TO BCO!" I guess what I'm saying is, I don't see how I can be totally in love with this game and then there be another guy that totally hates it based on false information O.o

Can you believe people are giving BCMG a bad rating at EBgames.com based only on BK3000K very first release? I don't believe anyone who gave the game a bad review actually baught the game in the first place. One of them even claims that you release this game every six months in a new package (I wish O.o) You shouldn't be able to comment on the game unless you've baught it already. One guy even compared it to Freelancer O.o Boy of boy did I hate that one. I suggest everyone who really loves this game go over to EBgames.com and give it a good review to help balance out the silly bad reviews that haters are giving it.

TigerDirect is actually one of the top places I was considering buying my computer from They have a very nice already built computer there for around 800 bucks that I will probably buy because I Don't want to have to build it all myself. I can't seem to find their barebone kits any more, those seemed to be the most price efficent.

Yes That totally works in the BC series. Not only do you not have to waste time and money making the same thing over again you also have 0 risk of making a mistake in the recreation. You also aren't tempted to change any of the basic things that make the game great in the first place, which could be a major folly! Civ II for example was really cool. Civ III is okay but I havn't been addicted enough to even get far enough to use tanks as of yet! Star Control II I loved, Star Control III was just ok! BC30K was awsome, BCM is awsome, BCMG will be awsome, BCG Will be mind blowing, BCO Will ruin my life no doubt! I bow before the SC! hehe (I'm not trying to blow BCG and BCO out of reality, I am merely expressing how I feel about the games as they stand now)

Hi! I've been gone for a while I know Having serious computer problems even since I got my DSL and I can't play BCM any more because I lost all my info. After not playing the game for a long while I can't remember all the keys and my joystick won't work O.o!!! Makes me sick to my stomach to have the game I've been waiting for all my life and no idea how to play it (keep in mind you can't post any such info on this board because SC Will kill you) Any how, I think I remember him saying that this planet will be a LONG way away from the rest of the normal planets to keep it safer. It also seems like I remember him saying that more advanced races would have a disadvantage against the pre-space flight race (I don't see why!) At any rate it seems like a very cool idea!

O.o I don't get why now one has posted on this topic since the last time a checked a very long time ago! I'm sure there is something on this topic we can talk about isn't there? One thing I am very interested in is exactly how a BCG Battle might play out. Do all the vechs in the game spawn at the start and thats it or do we go to a certain building and use some interface to get a ship? In the same vein is it possible to disable the ability of one team to use certain ships by destroying the building which creates that ship? Will there be a commander character that has the starbase or space station career that takes control of the over arching battle or will the multiplayer game be more shallow than that as in an all out slug fest (Which is still kool!) Will day and night pass over the battle field or will we be forced to choose to play either a day or night map until the game is over? Will the new kewl ships have glass bottoms that we can look out of whilst we are in transit to give us something to look at?!?! Come on peoples lets get this thread going again, I found it very interesting !

It has come to my attention roughly 6 million times that the computer I have at the moment is a flaming piece of crap. I knew it from the day I got it and it crashed as soon as I started it up that it would not live up to what I wanted it to be. I've tried upgrading it, but that only seems to make it worse! Thus I have decided to buy a new comptuer, however I am very very low on da cash Now I wanna get a new computer that is more than able to run BCG and other games in the future (I.E. Doom 3) and that can be upgraded easily, or at all! I've been looking for the better part of a year and I've just about got enough money saved away to be able to afford a computer around 800-900 bucks . (I have 2 cars and a million other bills so I'm not going above that at this time!) I know a lot of you out there know a LOT about computers so I was wondering. Anyone have any ideas as to wear I can get a computer that can run BCg very well for this price? Consider that I already have a monitor printer and all that crap and I Don't want a Dell or a Gateway piece of crap. Consider also that I already have a 3d card that can hold me over for a long while I hope some of you can get me a good idea because at the moment I don't know what to buy! I normally buy on impulse but I don't think this is something to take lightly. Buying the wrong computer can be an expensive mistake!

BC is a very interesting series of games to say the least. Unlike most games in the past where the sequal is a totally new game we get the same game with more added onto it. That may sound bad to some but to me and others I supose it is perfect. Instead of risking having a crapy sequal that couldn't capture the fun of the first game you HAVE the first game INSIDE of the new game. I think it is good that you aren't trying to do more than you can because that would risk making everything else not as good as it should be. I think most would agree with me when I say that you form of deving is almost perfect! I know I'm going to buy every title you release in the BC series and if you move on to other series I will probably buy them as well : ) I really can't think of anything to compare you work to. Not even Morrowind because THAT Game made the fatal mistake of taking out things that made daggerfall great! Sure it was pretty but it just wasn't the same. BCG will be pretty and the same but with totally new things added on that will allow you to explore and interact with the world more fully. I guess what I'm trying to say is whatever you put into your game is good and I'll buy it regardless How can I ask for anything other than what you've already offered?

I've played tribes and tribes II. I dunno maybe some of you guys just type slowly but I talked almost constantly in those games. I talked to my team mates, and to other team members. I got to know people that I played with over and over again and we really worked as a team most of the time. Maybe we played in two different worlds but I never hada problem with either game. I've had first hand experiance in Dark Space with what the BC multiplayer front-end is going to be like. (If he chooses to keep it like this) It is awsome and REALLY gives people a chance to know each other out of the game and in the game. I suggest you people check out darkspace too, you can download it and play the demo version free. It would at least let you see what you're getting into. If the new BC Multiplayer keeps as many stats as DarkSpace does I Will be in heaven Big difference between BC and Darkspace though is that DarkSpace is a MMOG and BCMG and BCG will not be. I seriously hope that BCO isn't like Darkspace because I think the way they made that game is nothing compared to what it could be with a totally in game multiplayer! The chat lobby feels to disconnected from the game itself. I dunno I guess I'm just crazy

I've played Darkspace, and as a matter of fact I just ended my sub with them yesterday. Is the mp for BCMgold going to be JUST like that? It was a very good system and had forum boards built into it and all kinds of other stuff. I wouldn't mind using that for BCMgold because you can send people pages in game and whatnot Also keeps track of all kinds of stats and things. I am interested in knowing if it is going to be exactly the same, just with BC stuff in it. Or if it will be customized for BCMG

The endless hours required to play Starcraft ? Lmao, that's funny. Most starcraft games I play last about 5-10 minutes
