I had never heard of this game before. I was just @ Electronics Boutique one day looking for a space sim game. I think i picked up Galactic Civilizations, put it down. Picked up StarTrek something and almost threw it down. Then i picked up BCM Gold, looked at the back (*eyes got bigger). And i couldn't believe all the options you had in just ONE game. The only game were i can go WHERE i want, WHENEVER i want, and DO WHATEVER i want. Total control. This has to be the best RPG ever made, because basically the player creates their own story through the different experiences u get in the game, and the outcome all depends on your skill and ambitions alone. To say Good Job, is a huge understatement. Congratulations on a great game and many thanks.

Most of the time i just smoke a cigarette to keep me from stressing out too much when the red dots start to come. Stretch...go grab something to drink(only 6 feet away) or go lay on my bed if i'm tired, turn the speakers way up so i can hear anything if i happen to doze off.

I never thought of one before...but here's one i like. "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." - Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)

quote:What are you talking about? 6 weeks? What is that? Baby boot camp, how about 8 weeks and then 12 weeks for the marines. 6 weeks is NOTHING compared to that. So true..what really is 6 weeks?? Sorry this has gone off topic a little bit, but i think there's a lot of good advice in this thread for not just you, but more people like you going through the same thing. I still stand by my first statement. The military will never let you down...but its your life. I hope you find work man, i cant even imagine being unemployed.

Geeze, think of the practical applications for it! AutoCad could be 4 times as powerful than it is now (Now thats what I'm talking about!)! Wow!!! LMAO...tell me your not serious?

I've had a few OHNOSECONDs, like during rifle qual accidently jerking the trigger knocking my round WAY off target, probably hittin someone elses target. Thats when u realize getting Expert is pretty much out the window.

By the way are u stationed at Damneck, VA. like 2 minutes away from VA Beach. I was just there for Intel training. I no longer like the beach after that course. I'm a Sergeant in the Marine Corps. I see there's a few military people here at BC hooked on this game.

The military will never let u down....

You should appreciate that advice. But the reason he said that is so anyone else who needs help would be able to find your thread(Using the SEARCH button) instead of creating a whole new one for the same question you could find the answer to in here, basically preventing the forum from being clogged with repetitive information. I hope that makes sense...yeah it does. Standby, i'm sure someone will come help u, i dont play Campaigns...yet. So i might even need this advice sometime down the road.

I was hoping that all those hours of writing code would slow down your thought process and maybe you'd let something slip about EFC. Hell SC I ain't asked about it in a year! throw me a friggin bone! OK, here's a bone. Go buy an Xbox console i'm starting to think selling my Xbox wasn't too good of an idea.

Right now i'm flying a Aestrom and i've fully upgraded its hull/armor and shields to the max...i have enough missiles and fuel to make it to Earth and back(i'm in Xlan now). Not untill last night did i really fall in love with the PTA turrets. I use to always keep them off because i didn't know what they were for. I was going through that thing called the MANUAL and i turned those things on and two Cruisers decided to target me at once. I'm near a jumpoint and they hyperdrive over to me and i'm waiting right in front of the first one to come out of hyper and while i was firing my main guns i stopped for a minute to see why his shields and armor were dropping so fast. I pressed F9 and i'll be damned if lasers coming from my Aestrom werent rippin him to shreds. He didn't even last 60 seconds. And as soon as i was done with him i took care of his other buddy in similiar fashion without using ONE missile. I felt like a Starstation for a minute, needless to say i'll soon be promoted if i can keep this up. PTA! PTA! PTA!....you learn something new everyday...dont tell me i'm the only person who didn't know that...no really

The Kingdom of the High Command I created mine a few days ago, this is a fun little game.

I just finished reading the manual to BCMG for about the 10th time. Talking about a good read... I actually dont have enough time these days to read like i use to. Favorite authors are Louis L'amaour and Max Brand...and no it 'aint' cause i'm from Texas either. I just like billy bad ass westerns...something about shooting people and riding off into the night that appeals to me.

The same thing happened to me last night in Sarien. Except it was a Violon, i never seen so many enemy ships at once all going for one target. My aestrom made quick work of a Violon, but the starstation Sarion was still badly damaged.(oh the glow! ) Then a enemy Aestrom appeared from nowhere(cloaked)to finish the station off and i fired on him untill he had nothing but space Marines floating around. And the whole time i'm hearing 'Something's Out there' So i just saved my game and went to sleep. I have a feeling they will be waiting on me when i return.

I think i selected Beta Wing when i registered at the Fleet site. As soon as im done training we'll see, and i think i want to change my asset type to the Violon. But i'll do that when the time comes.

did u die? i really wanted to know if u succeeded or not.

thanks Cmdr Nova...u always have good advice. the more i ask questions the more i realize i need to stay in touch with the almighty MANUAL. i didn't try the forward slash button yet.

So i'm in my Aestrom waiting on my engineers to upgrade my shields and armor when i think 'hey this is a perfect time to go take care of some trading'. I send my AE to Shuttle 1 and launch. All is good so far, I make my trade runs and head back to my ship. I'm in range 0.32 and i press Alt+D. Nothing happens. I try another 5 or 6 times and decide to eject from the shuttle and see if i can get my AE to get back in the battlecruiser. I skyrocketed over to the ship and land on it. Alt+D...still nothing. A few more times of that and i go to Tacops. I order one of my Fighter Crafts to RTB. Then i get the message that is the cause of u reading this post...Launch Control Needs Power. Is my crew locking me out of my own ship? And how do i get back in, do i just wait untill they 'feel' like it or what? I think maybe Resnig is behind this.
