How far back should we go to find offense from the master/slave concept? The Egyptians enslaved the Jews and forced them to build monuments to the pharoahs. Those monuments still exist today and are the basis for the tourist economy in Egypt. Therefore, Egyptians are still benefiting from the enslavement of the Jews.

Negative Reinforcement: no dessert, no cookies 3. Positive Punishment: grounding, no tv, no phone, no playing with friends, early bedtime 4. Negative Punishment: resuming going out with friends, resuming normal bedtime, resuming playing games, resuming watching TV Depending on the infraction, use the appropriate response. When the child's behavior improves, reward by either giving a positive or removing a negative. Anyway, that's one theory.

Since I only play the game with 3D shutter glasses, I watch enemy-on-enemy or neutral-on-neutral battles in the regions I'm passing through, using the F10 views. If you haven't seen this game in 3D, let me tell you, it's awesome. It's as good as any Star Wars movie, and since it's computer generated, the battles are random. It's even better if you have a fleet defending your CC.

Regarding nothing being found: It's like our soldiers are being asked to find a cup of coffee and they find the cup, saucer, spoon, sugar, cream, beans, roaster, grinder, filter, percolator, and recipe, but they didn't find a "cup of coffee." Regarding the politcs and the intelligence: We just yesterday saw the politics of intelligence with the leaked Senate Select Intelligence Committee Democrat memo laying out a plan to use their priveleged intelligence to undermine the Bush administration next year during the election. This is a story that is about to blow wide open. It might lead to a new thinking on the culpability of the Bush administration and the Democrat charges against it, or at least make it more difficult for the Democrats to make hollow charges.

That's Federalism for you. The government taxes the people in order to pay for common-good services. Then it incrementally adds more entitlements and common-good services, taxes for it, finds new entitlements, taxes for it...

I think that the closest game in scope to BC3K that was out during the development days of BC3K was Rules Of Engagement 2 and its companion Breach 3. ROE was a space fleet simulator where you had a series of missions to accomplish (as part of a scripted storyline), a roster of officers and ships to assign, and many commands that you can issue to your officers to carry out separate components of the overall mission. Your commanders had their own personalities (from an advanced character generator) and didn't always follow your orders, and the distance between your ships caused a lag in communications. Breach was an interlocking system that allowed you to fight man-to-man battles from an overhead perspective. They never finished the interlocking aspect before Omnitrend got out of the gaming business. The game also had a game builder system where you can script your own stories and missions.

I found new life for my old Apple //e games. They were pretty good for their time, and they run just fine with an emulator on my IPAQ PDA. Currently loaded on my PDA: o Crush, Crumble, and Chomp o Blue Powder, Grey Smoke o Knights Of Legend o SSG Series (Carriers At War, Battlefront, Decisive Battles of the American Civil War o Roadwar 2000 o Six Gun Shootout o Earl Weaver Baseball o Balance Of Power There are loads more available that I have the original disks/docs for. At the time, the copy protection was a decoder ring. Some games didn't have them.

I just got class action papers in the mail in a suit against Microsoft by California. The class is anyone who bought a PC in California between 1995 and 2001 that came bundled with MS-DOS, Windows, Word, Excel, Office, and/or Works. There was a settlement and Microsoft offered anyone in the class coupons for any software/hardware anywhere. There was a price list for how much each Office title was worth in coupons. Any money left over after the class has been paid will go "to the children."

Chavik, you're probably more right than I am, now that I think about it. Affluenza is the irrational accumulation of material goods. On the one hand, it is a "keeping up with the Jones's" when you don't have the money to do so, thereby running up debt. On the other hand, it is also what spoils the rich, or the children of the rich, the problems that arise from having too much money.

It's a pun. It's a "sickness" (influenza) that afflicts affluent (rich) people. Affluent + Influenza = Affluenza.
