Battlestar gets grounded by SciFi You know what, I'll believe it when we'll get there, their flip-flopping is starting to make me dizzy.

Not that their MO is anything new with this release. There were problems with SH2 and 3. I liked SH3 a lot and I played it quite a bit. I haven't touched SH4 yet and I won't until they've fixed it to the point where it is actually playable on the hardware people have. I haven't touched FSX either, for the same reason.

Anyway the show got its fourth (and probably final) season signed and there'll be a 2 hour TV movie in the fall about the Pegasus, so it's not all bad.

I wonder what's on a the must-see, must-do, must-experience list for someone who goes to Japan... I have no idea what to expect. I mean, ok, it's a different culture with a different language that is westernized, but still, it must be odd to be a foreigner there. I suspect there is also a "not-to-do" list... like sticking your chopsticks into your food.

Now I know what has been wrong with this show all along, they've been following the wrong ship. I'd love to see more of Admiral Cain and her merry men.

Seems to me the season finale had all the ingredients of a show finale, including the "deus ex machina" ending with our favorite frakked-up viper pilot. I really hate it when writers pull rabbits out of their hats... not very convincing. The extension to a fourth season must have come as a complete surprise. So that's it for this year?

I guess I was expecting more space battles and missions, not a courtroom drama.

Well, I've seen another trend at work... many former open source crusaders have moved to the Mac platform. Linux isn't as cool as it used to be, the new-car-smell is definitely gone. At the end of the day end-users don't care what's keeping the network up and running or how a website is powered. I mean when was the last time you wondered where your electricity came from? There's really no contest.

Let's just say, CRTs are on the same track as vinyl records and floppy disks and will slowly but surely disappear. I don't own a single CRT set anymore and I don't regret it.
