So it's this time of the year again (well for those that don't live in Florida anyway...) when the flu wave is about to hit most of us again. It's been a while since I last got the flu and if memory serves I got flu shots twice in the last two or three years. I'm not trying to catch it because besides being one of the diseases that can actually kill you it's a drag to have to stay at home and in bed all day long and just do nothing. I'm not sure I'll be getting a flu shot this year, my employer and the media said there were shortages this time around, so only those mostly at risk would get one and I guess I'm not one of those. I've heard from different people that flu shots can also make you sick, so it's not always the right thing to do. How about you, anyone here getting a flu shot?

I read somewhere (Yahoo News fwiw) that Wal-Mart's CD music sales account for 20% of the music industry's US sales, but that Wal-Mart's music sales only account for 2% of their business. I guess when Wal-Mart talks the RIAA listens.

Old news. Oddly enough many renewable energy alternatives use similar biological processes and nobody worries about the consequences. And while we talk about cow farts we don't talk about civil aviation which accounts for 1/3 of all CO2 emissions worldwide.

Considering the increasing problems with school violence done by minors, it's not surprizing that the authorities have to do something to at least set an example. It's one thing to disagree with your government, another to make death threats.

Yeah, I'd like read up on this thread too, because I'd like to add a question to the FAQ of the forum, like: Why do posts disappear for no apparent reason? I noticed the draconian posting rules a while ago, so I refrained from posting. I have no problem abiding by the rules of the house, but at least I like to know the rules beforehand.
