  1. XP Pro is one of the most stable operating systems out there. However, unless your joining the computer to a domain, there is no need to buy XP Pro. The only difference between XP Pro and XP Home is that you cannot join XP Home to a domain.
  2. ROFLMAO! That is the funniest thing I've ever read. It's about damn time someone struck back at them. God, I want to join them. Where can I enlist? :-)
  3. quote:Bandus, Could you elaborate on their reasoning for a $600.00 deposit for a video card,I ask that only because there are very few cards out there that cost that kind of change. No, I can't actually. Why? Because I have no idea. I don't feel bad about not knowing though. They could never really tell me why it was that much either. quote:The link you provided, I take with a salt lick. It seemed to be only a bunch of purplefooted sour grape stompers who probably have trouble operating a toaster. That is possible. However, that was not a link to just bad experiences people have had. It simply searches usenet posts and such. The point is, there aren't many GOOD posts out there.
  4. If your on a broadband connection you need to pull the plug on it. Then run your Adaware and Spyboy, then reboot the system, then run your AdAware and Spybot again, then reboot the system again, then plug your broadband connection back in. Many spyware programs are able to reinstall themselves if they can see the Internet. If you make it so the computer can't see the net, you'll usually be able to kill them off though.
  5. http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/South/07/13/esc...r.ap/index.html This place is like, 10 minutes from my house. Looks like I'm gonna go do me some hunting.
  6. Yeah, I just read that....I figured some of you all would be happy about that. Bethesda though? They really screwed up Sea Dogs Tw...err Pirates of the Caribbean.
  7. Give it a rest. On second thougt, your right, it's all a conspiracy to cover Bush's tracks...he is so smart he destroyed the microfilm! I wonder if he snuck into the archives like Tom Cruise did in Mission Impossible?

  9. I was going to post on EXACTLY what your bringing up LostinSpace, but I decided not to. I'm glad someone did though because now I can comment. Personally, the way I see it the hunger strikers were there of their own accord. I would have not only eaten a hamburger in front of them, I would have offered them one and no matter what they said would have replied, "I was just asking, I wasn't actually going to give you one." Furthermore, that dumbarse Dymally made me spit my soda out I was laughing so hard. He organized rallies for civil rights and it was a white girl, that is an instant classic. As far as Riordan goes....yeah, that was pretty dumb what he said. But how many times have you said something that you thought was really funny, and it was actually insulting to someone near you? I mean really.

  11. I paid, like I said, over $5000 for the system. On DAY 5 the video card had a melt down. They wanted me to send them a $600 deposit for a replacement card. That's ludicrous in itself considering I had already paid $5000 for the system. I opted to return the system. Which is when they informed me that I was subject to a 15% restocking fee. Long story short, they tried to give me the run around doing everything from saying they wouldn't refund my money to LOSING MY PACKAGE once I sent it back. Yada yada yada, finally I threatened a lawsuit because they were claiming a 15% restocking fee on a DEFECTIVE system. I got no reply to that message for about two days until FINALLY their sales manager called me and gave me a 2 minute apology, his personal phone number, and took my name and all my other personal information and said that if I ever decided to go with Alienware again they'd give me a 25% discount on whatever I purchased. And that is that. Edit: Go to www.deja.com and punch in Alienware. The results speak for themselves...
  12. Hostile contacts do not destroy your command vessels. Resnig destroys your command vessel.
  13. This news was very depressing to me. Very great actor.
  14. In the name of all that is holy....don't go with Alienware. I bought a $5000+ system from them and it was most expensive paperweight I ever bought.
  15. You must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest with.....a herring!
  16. I'd like to be the second to welcome you aboard. Glad to have you.
  17. Jesus christ that was a funny read. ROFLMAO.
  18. If you haven't seen Spider Man 2 yet, give yourself a good kick in the arse. SCs review was right on. EVERYTHING was better. The computer animation was spectacular. The fight scenes were great. The moral dilemma, hell, I almost started to cry I was getting so stressed from trying to decided what /I/ would do.:Grins: I went to see it last night, I'll be going again to tonight. It's just that damn good. 10/10
  19. quote:What, I am saying: is too Acknowledged them as a legitimate enemy, on the SAME ground as ANY enemy, which we would be at war with. And NOT to seperate them as a NON-entity, using broad based terminology (i.e. TERRORIST), in order to degrade their standing. Is this to suggest that we should recognize the people who participated in the 9/11 attacks with the same status we recognize say....Great Britain...or Canada? If so...why should we recognize like this? quote: In the MINDS of average American, They are the TERRORIST responsible for 9/11I'm not so sure about that. I've spoken to a few people that I consider average and they were very well aware of the differences between Afghanistan and Iraq. quote:COMPLETE withdraw from the middle east is NOT possible. Never has been. There are some fanatic groups that state (as far as I know), that they will not cease attacks on the United States until every single American is gone from the Middle East. quote:REFUSAL to admit what we do, and the AUDACITY to ignore the consequence, is what escalated it to 9/11 type status. So are you saying that if you look to the root of things, we, the United States, are responsible for the terrorist attack on 9/11? These are just some of my thoughts and questions. I appreciate the dialog as this has thus far been very...interesting...to read.
