Guest drcruz Posted February 11, 2000 Report Posted February 11, 2000 I heard that BC3K has problems with overclocked CPU's. I plan on building a 400MHz Celeron machine soon and would like to experiment with overclocking. Anyway Just curious as to how come. Thanks
Parias Posted February 11, 2000 Report Posted February 11, 2000 Well think about it. When you overclock, you're exceeding the natural specs of your hardware, and when that happens, all sorts of unpredictable crap can happen. And this isn't just a matter of BC3k, almost _ALL_ of the tech support for games out there will tell you to stop overclocking first thing if you're having problems.Think of it as hacking into the code of the game to get a few more FPS. It might work, it might not, but you sure as hell aren't gonna get any support for it ------------------ Parias ICV-Galatae ICQ:1293359 Staff member at HardNews "I took this job because I just really love to blow sh*t up!"
