My most rescent case, I post a message in the General thread, I wasn't able to see it. I go to my mom's computer and check it out, it's not there. I come back to my computer, clear the forum cookies through the preferences menu, clear history and temp files, and I can now see my posts, but I can't see them on my mom's computer, cookies or not. Also, when I tried to delete my test post, it said it was deleted, but I can still see it. If anyone knows how to fix this, please, don't hesitate to drop me a line!*Edit: This is under the 'A Picture' thread that Akuma started in general discussion* ------------------ Cmdr. In regards to the other problems, I wonder if it would have something to do with the VServers interruption...------------------ Cmdr. Rattler Posted August 28, 2000 Report Posted August 28, 2000 Heh, Been there! Might I ask what version of IE are you using? Back when I was using 5.0 I sometimes had that problem. Only way to fix it was to do manual refresh of the page while viewing it. That usually fixed the problem for me. I might add that it didn't always happen though. Sometimes the pages didn't refresh when comparing the ones on the net to the ones in memory. Was really wierd. And when I delete them now, the message is still there on the board, but when I click on 'edit' in order to try and delete them again, there's no text shown, the message is empty.up until a few days ago, doing a manual refresh solved the problem, but even on different computers, the information is not getting through. hopefully I'll have better luck at work tomorrow[This message has been edited by Cmdr Hidama (edited 08-27-2000).]
Supreme Cmdr Posted August 28, 2000 Report Posted August 28, 2000 It has nothing to do with the forums. Its to do with either your browser or your ISP. If your ISP is caching pages, you'll get this problem. The only way around it is to force a page reload by holding down the SHIFT key and doing a refresh, I think.
