voodoo3 save

Hi. i have 2 systems running bc3000ad, they are both identical except for 1 has a matrox g400 max and the 2nd has a voodoo3 2k, when i use the 2nd system and try to save from the drop down menu in game it dumps me back to the desktop without saving the position, i can use the quit/main menu o.k and then save, i have used all the available patches for the voodoo3, from when it first come out, right up to the latest 1.5, any info?

Crashes on game saves are fixed by updating your mouse driver to the most recent driver.
