Epsilon 5 Posted November 28, 2000 Report Posted November 28, 2000 I've seen on a topic of the "New version discussion" that a Windows-version od bc3k v2.09 was available, but the links given by Supreme Cmdr weren't working anymore.Does somebody have the zip and txt?Original links were: www.bc3000ad.com/downloads/bc3k209win.txt www.bc3000ad.com/downloads/bc3k209win.zip
Epsilon 5 Posted November 30, 2000 Author Report Posted November 30, 2000 Well, was it really worth it? Was is better than in dos?
Supreme Cmdr Posted December 1, 2000 Report Posted December 1, 2000 Nah. You didn't miss anything. It was a pure DirectDraw hack that I did in my spare time. If you want it, I can dig it up for you. But if you are so anxious to play a WIN9x version, why don't you apply for the Battlecruiser Millennium Beta Test program?
Epsilon 5 Posted December 4, 2000 Author Report Posted December 4, 2000 Are you crazy!?! My computer isn't good enough for that! I still have an old pentium 150mhz! In v2.09, my framerate goes from 12 to 3fps, and this is only in freeflight! In ACM, it goes from 5 to 1fps.Unless you want to test if it's still playable on an old computer...I would like to test the game, but I don't think I really can...
Badger Posted January 14, 2001 Report Posted January 14, 2001 The Patch is available for download from GameSpot UK if you still want to try it out. Please see my posted reply in [New Commanders/oi! oi! oi!] and click on the link in that message to start the download. The text file to read through first is called bc3k209win.txt and btw, it also includes the following words of wisdom... "This is program is unsupported and is not a patch to the DOS version. Use at your own risk."Have fun! ------------------Cmdr Badger BC Accentia[This message has been edited by Badger (edited 01-13-2001).]
