Does anyone have the version 1.00 version 2.01 upgrade patch for BCK?

Sorry about talking about the original BCK in this day of age of BCM...but I've got to satisfy my addiction somehow....

The problem I have is that I own the UK (Gametek) version of BCK, but I need upgrade patch from version 1 to version 2. I downloaded it some years ago when this website allowed me to purchase the upgrade patch. But a couple of months back my hard drive went belly up and I've lost everything.

Support for that version ended some time ago. I have a ver. 1.0 cd myself, but went and purchsed a newer 2.0 version some time back. I have a cd floating around somewhere that has some patches for some games, but don't remember if it has those files. Maybe someone else has them.

All in all, IMO, you are better off buying a 2.0 or newer ver. of BC3000ad or playing the BCM demo's while you wait.

Trust me, BCM is worth waiting for....

Thanks for your help. I wouldn't mind purchasing a updated version of BCK-it would be nice to play around with till I get my hand on BCM, but like you said support for that version ended some time ago and as such my chances of finding it over here in Australia are slim to none. (Purchasing in via the internet isn't much of an option either as the Aust. currency has gone done the drain, and I'd be better off waiting for BCM).

I know how you feel. I first bought the Gametek version too. I missed out on the patch files to convert ver 1 to ver 2. And SC has stopped releasing them. I was lucky enough to find version 2, but I still wish there was some way to upgrade ver 1 to ver 2. I doubt there will be. My guess is that nobody wants to give a reason to buy the Gametek version even if it's in the delete bin. And there may be some lingering rights issues. I don't know this, it's just a guess. You're just going to have to wait for BCM, which in my opinion is going to be a much better experience anyway.

(And yes I know it's going to take a while to get to Australia, but hang out here in the forums, it looks as though some non North American members may get a helping hand purchasing the game early, through above the board / totally legal methods of course!)

I think you can find copies of BC3K 2.0x at The Game Trading Zone, for sale or trade.
