Clan_Elemental Posted December 11, 2001 Report Posted December 11, 2001 After going through the manual, the appendix and the rest of what is available to me, I still can not wrap my mind around waypoints.Specifically what I would like to do is drop into the planet atmosphere somewhere besides the dead center. The instructions from the manual and such "sound" like they are only for sending npc's from the CC to do the exploring.Does it work for my AE as pilot already in space as well, and if so... can someone walk me through as simply as possible how to get it to go, I constantly get "no waypoints" on the NID and end up at the same landing zone.

Clan_Elemental Posted December 11, 2001 Author Report Posted December 11, 2001 Yeah, I have already gone through it several times.. it is just not working for me I add the waypoint, setpos it I see 1 there on the map. I go to the shuttle and tell it to resume the waypoint...Check the NID, waypoint does not exist
Mindglow Posted December 12, 2001 Report Posted December 12, 2001 But the way point should still show in TacOps, just turn on the autopilot and resume waypoints .. BTW, I hadn't tried it myself, I usually fly the shuttle myself. I'll go try it and verify.
Mindglow Posted December 12, 2001 Report Posted December 12, 2001 How does one set the altitude of the way point? The instruction book does not address this.

From what I've picked up from the SC, you don't. It's pre-set to around ground level, I think.... I could be wrong though.
