Explosions

Man, I'm loving this simulator (this is not a game, really). but I'm curious since the begining about one thing. Manytimes, when you are flying around, there in not any enemy ship, or missels, you car hear explosions outside (or inside? dunno). It seems like a ship hitting you with Its IOD. But there is no ship, no enemy, no damage. What is that? asteroids colisions?

I'm not 100% sure about this.But,I THINK that this sound is a shockwave from a ship making a Hyperjump transit.If you hit F4 when you are in hyperjump and look behind you,you'll see some kind of shockwave or something forming behind you.

Gustavo..I believe what you are describing has been covered here in the forums before and is a harmless anomaly. It should be corrected shortly but seems to have proven elusive.

There's nothing to correct or it would be in the VCF.

He is hearing explosions from engagements elsewhere. The larger the target, the louder the explosion. All sounds are distance cued in 3D space.
