Transporter, AE, and marines

Hi all,

I was experimenting with the transporter last night while mining. I transported myself and a couple of marines to the planet surface. But whereas I would walk around and such..the marines just stood there. We were in a barren landscape. But I've done it before in one of the friendly bases too.

Are the marines supposed to follow you? Or do you have to give them a command to follow you. I've searched the forums, and RTFM'd but can't find anything on this. I did try the FOLLOW ME command. But it says that is for multiplayer.

Do they follow you?, or am I mistaken? Thanx in advance.

You can't order them.

Marines have SAD orders by default. If there are not threats around, they will hold their position.

Rule of thumb : If its not in the manual, you can't do it.
