Joe Redhawk Posted December 27, 2001 Report Posted December 27, 2001 A GCV was destroyed during an AI strike against a station. His Marines have about one hour left of air, how can I retrieve them to drop them off at the closest starbase? or am I suppose to just let them die? Also I captured a base and when I left it, it went up like a Roman candle. What did I forget to do?Also what minerals should I stock up on for repairs? How many units of Radine and Plutonium should I maintian? Also how do I keep my probes in one sector and keep them from moving from one sector to another. I'm still having trouble registering my game.[ 12-27-2001: Message edited by: Joe Redhawk ]
Guest $iLk Posted December 27, 2001 Report Posted December 27, 2001 Power up your IOD and fry them. It's the least you could do for them It's their own damn fault if they don't know to RTB.

Repair minerals for sure. Should be obvious, I think. But beside radine and plutonium (and depending on carrier command iridium), normal minerals are only there for mining (and selling them). If you don't want to keep running back and forth between stations I'd say between 10k and 1M unites. But that depends on what kind of craft you are using. GCV means "Galactic Command Vessel". It's just a fleet/political designation. quote:Also how do I keep my probes in one sector and keep them from moving from one sector to another. They are not unless you tell them to jump. Look closely, they are flying the jumppoints, not jumping through them. They like to get different viewpoint on the matter.

Agree with $ilk on this one fry em best you can do you can't recover them. quote: Also I captured a base and when I left it, it went up like a Roman candle. What did I forget to do? More than likely an unfriendly blew the station up when you left it than anything you forgot to do. quote: Also what minerals should I stock up on for repairs? How many units of Radine and Plutonium should I maintian? Depends on the engine/reactor you have different ones have different consumption rates check your current levels and then do a jump then check your levels that will tell you how much is used per jump and will give you a guide how much to carry depending on where your going, and upgrade...upgrade...upgrade the basic engine uses alot of fuel per jump. quote: Also how do I keep my probes in one sector and keep them from moving from one sector to another. You probes will not jump from one region to another without being ordered to do so but they will wander/patrol the region you send them to automatically thus their waypoints will change which may look like their preparing to do a jump but will not leave their designated system unless told to do so by your AE/you.
Rico Jansen Posted December 27, 2001 Report Posted December 27, 2001 What Emmett said about the radine/plutonium consuption. Sorry, I was in a bit of a hurry. Upgrades are te influence.

If its rejecting your CDKEY, its probably because either (a) you have the number wrong (confusing and OH for a ZERO is likely) or ( you have already registered and just need to login.
