Guest krelian Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 hi everyone!! i'm pretty new to the world of battlecruiser (been playing since about february this year) and i was wondering, what the heck is that "there's something out there" message? i can't see any bad guys nearby, only a small battle near a planet that i'm miles away from. oh, and i get a weird static effect on my displays just before i get the message too. can someone help? thankyou!
Supreme Cmdr Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 It means that there is a cloaked ship in the vicinity and your officer has higher enough AI (be thankful for that) to detect it.
Guest krelian Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 alrighty thanks SC. better not be a cloaked ship bigger than my battlecruiser mk3 though...
Kartoffel Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 There's always the chance that its a hostile Stormcarrier that is thinking "Hmmm. Easy kill."
Guest krelian Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 funnily enough, it was a stormcarrier. it got destroyed by station defences before it got near me though.
Guest krelian Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 val/rai i think. then a emp/cri garid jumped into the system (alteris) and joined in. he got wiped out too.
