Blades Posted March 23, 2000 Report Posted March 23, 2000 Ok gang, listen up.I've been thinking a lot recently about our game strategy come BC:M, and I've come to the conclusion that our current set up (As in Battle Group Deployment) needs upgrading. How? Nice n simple this.We all come from different time zones, which makes it difficult for us to properly plan and execute an operation. So, from now until the next revision (If I alter things again, get Greg to give me a smack) we are doubling the size of every active Battle Group to a total of 18 ships. However, these 18 ships are going to be divided in seperate watches.Daywatch (Populated with the european commanders - Those close to a GMT time anyway) and the Nightwatch (Populated by American commanders, or those approx -5/6 hrs GMT)So, I need to know everyones exact location. I need to know what time zone they are in. I need to configure TBG Alpha and Beta (Not to mention the DBG and future BG's) quickly, so we can all see who's gonna ge watchin our asses in the near future.Other Fleet Commanders that are viewing this, I would suggest a similar strategy be put in place before we get swamped and confused.Anyway, Orion commanders, hop to it. Post here. NOW. I need those details, STAT.------------------ F.C KARL 'BLADES' SAVAGE ORION FLEET TSUNAMI BATTLE GROUP GCV - TSUNAMI Ôäó www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk 'For Queen and country' [This message has been edited by Blades (edited 03-23-2000).]
GREG MILLER Posted March 23, 2000 Report Posted March 23, 2000 I am in the Eastern Standard Time Zone (EST) (GMT -5).If any of you need to know what relation your time zone is to GMT; Note: EST is 5 hours behind GMT, or -5. That means if you are in the PST, you are 3 hours behind EST, so you are -8 (-5 + -3). If you are still stumped, drop me a line, and I will help. ------------------ CMDR GREG MILLER (GMAN) ORION FLEET EXECUTIVE OFFICER TSUNAMI BATTLE GROUP GCV - SARK ICQ 64202480 www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk'The righteous care about justice for all, but the wicked have no such concern.' Blades Posted March 24, 2000 Author Report Posted March 24, 2000 Ok, thats a reasonable turnout for a start. Where the hell are the rest of you? Look - I'm going to make this nice and simple. I'm getting tired of workin my butt off, night and day on the website, coordinating efforts with Greg, Carlton, Xlogic and Foss on strategies and policies that are designed to benefit everyone in my Fleet and NOT have my commanders do me the honor of stopping by and reporting in. Yes, it's a game, yes, it's not as important as real life, but YES, you have this simple duty to perform, and I expect it to be done.Sign in or sign off, your call.------------------ F.C KARL 'BLADES' SAVAGE ORION FLEET TSUNAMI BATTLE GROUP GCV - TSUNAMI Ôäó www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk 'For Queen and country'
