Charles Lindsey Posted September 5, 2003 Report Posted September 5, 2003 Since you can't keep a good fleet down we can still have a monthly chat. The reactor core isn't the most relaxing place in the world (or in space) but they tend to frown on fires in starstations and the glow from the reactor core is a reasonable facsimile. So stop by and sit for a while if you feel like it. So how is everyone? School? Work? Hormonal problems? Well maybe not that. Hope everyone is doing good.
Cruis. In Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 like I said. computer probs for me. I bet no one even noticed my absence. anyhow, fixed now. yay yay reactor core? thats a chatroom or something? or is that a joke.
Charles Lindsey Posted September 6, 2003 Author Report Posted September 6, 2003 A joke. I wanted fireside chat but like I said fires are frowned upon in starstations. Good to see you Finder1. Hope you get your computer problems all sorted out Cruis.in.
weegee_101 Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 School is going well. Got assigned as Master Electrican for my first two shows here (ever, I'm a freshman theatre major). Can't really complain. Haven't had a lot of time for BC, but still play it on the weekends. SWG is taking my weekday computer time up (since I can work on my homework while I do certain things in it; sampling, etc.). Hope ya'll are doing well.
Charles Lindsey Posted September 9, 2003 Author Report Posted September 9, 2003 I feel really dumb. I misread your post and here I been thinking you were going after your electrician's card. Better than plumbing because you don't have to play in poo but then again you can get killed being an electrician. Same old same old here. Just cut over $40,000 in requisitions for various sundries. Hopefully that will last a while.
dreadx Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 Ready to support and serve, sir! Everything is well at school. My students are really trying to learn to be system-engineers. The sea is still wet and salty.
Charles Lindsey Posted September 17, 2003 Author Report Posted September 17, 2003 I always wanted to be an engineer. Sadly I was but a small boy when the last steam locomotive rolled throught Birmingham. Another dream shattered. Sigh.
Cruis. In Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 what do you do now? so you lost that desire when you saw the last one? or you still had it.
Charles Lindsey Posted September 18, 2003 Author Report Posted September 18, 2003 The dream didn't die but the possibility of obtaining the dream did. Hard to attain a dream when the object of your desires ceases to exist. Those massively majestic, magnificent machineries of motion succumbed to the efficiencies of technology. So sad. Sniff. What I do now is run a warehouse for a maintenance dept.
Charles Lindsey Posted September 18, 2003 Author Report Posted September 18, 2003 Did I scare everyone away?
ShoHashi Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 quote:What I do now is run a warehouse for a maintenance dept.Or do you mean run a maintenance department for a warehouse?
Charles Lindsey Posted September 19, 2003 Author Report Posted September 19, 2003 No, no, I'm sure it's the former. If it's the other way around I had better keep m,y mouth shut 'cause they haven't noticed for four years.
