Starting the Game

I just bought the Game V 2.0 and soon after im galoping the Skys with my brand new BC, and soon after i get shoot of by Raiders and all sorts of foes, better then me, well much better, i try to get money by trading but i have to fight my way throw.

Is there something i should do before going to places i should not?

I'll try to answer this for you.

You can try to do some mining and upgrade your ship, you can run some local trade routes, you can do whatever.

That's the entire premise of the game. Do what you want, when you want, and how you want. There is no right or wrong way to play.

Not to worry, just click on the download files option from the right hand side of the home page, then scroll down until you find

v2.08 to v2.09, download it and activate it in your BC3k directory. It's free and not too big (1.5MB), so won't take too long to download.

I'm feeling extra helpful, so just click here if you're feeling lazy.

I upgraded from V 2.08 to V 2.09

and something is wrong with it.

I cant OBSERVE planets, i mean nothing happends.

Am i doing something wrong.

Hmmm, I've never had that problem. Did you download the map-pak? That's the only thing I can think of.

Bad install or bad patch (I.E. bad download). Re-install. If that doesn't fix it get the download again. Then try again. The absence of the map pak will not prevent tacops from observing the planet. It just populates them.

How are you trying to observe Hugo? Are you getting weird output or none at all? Sounds like a bad patch. Oh, and don't use your old saved games from 2.00 or 2.08. Start a fresh one. You may want to try that first if you haven't already. It's easiest.
