Guest Xlogic Posted March 14, 2000 Report Posted March 14, 2000 Are most of these conversations about fleets over Battlecruiser 3000AD, or BC Online, or BC Millenium, or what? Just wondering what all the fleets are for and stuff since BC 3000AD is only single player. I really want to know if there are any fleets organized for the single player game .. Let me know! =P-Cmdr. Xlogic
Eclipse Posted March 14, 2000 Report Posted March 14, 2000 The fleets are mostly for BCM and BC: Online as well as for RP. We are getting ready for the advent of MP when fleets will actually partcipate online. I'm not really sure about the second part of your post, but I'll answer it to the best of my ability If you mean organized as in what we are doing, not really. We have the various fleet Starstations scattered throughout the game world, but nothing really "organized" per say. If you are referring to what I mentioned before, yes, we are organized. If face, SC has even given each of the fleets their own forum on this site to help with getting everything together. Hope this helps.------------------ Cmdr. Guest Xlogic Posted March 14, 2000 Report Posted March 14, 2000 Sure does, thanks alot... So is it possible to start a new fleet,.. or is it limited to the existing fleets?-Cmdr. Xlogic
Guest Posted March 14, 2000 Report Posted March 14, 2000 As per general Standing Order, no new fleets may be formed. Only Derek (that's the red eyed guy that makes this game BTW) can give permission to create a fleet. You can however, form SQUADRONS. If you want to be an Assassin, Trader, Criminal, etc, you may form a squadron for it. You may only form Squadrons using the existing race/caste of the game. You may not take the name of any of the game's characters. You may not use any rank above Commander in this forum unless authorized by the Supreme Commander. Before you ask, if you do not want to join a fleet yet or are thinking of making your own squadron, you may use the UCV designation for your ship.GCV=Galcom ICV=Insurgent ECV=Earthcom UCV=UndesignatedYou may however, look into the existing fleets, many of them are offering command positions at this point. Check out their forums, learn about the fleets. Each fleet has its own niche in the game, be sure to find the level on this food chain that you wish to belong to.Welcome to BC3K Cmdr Xlogic! ------------------ Flt. Cmdr. SpacePhish Posted March 14, 2000 Report Posted March 14, 2000 It's possible, but you have to get permission from the creator of this game, Derek Smart AKA Superme Commander of the Galcom forces. Half a dozen fleet already exist, they are:Prime Flet. Orion Fleet. ISS Fleet. Wraith Fleet. SCID Fleet. Earthcom Fleet. And saving the best for last, The Isurgency(we are bunch of space-rebels)
Guest Xlogic Posted March 14, 2000 Report Posted March 14, 2000 Cool, I'll check them all out.. thanks for the speedy replies =)-Cmdr. Xlogic
Guest aramike01 Posted March 14, 2000 Report Posted March 14, 2000 SpacePhish, how the heck can you misspell "Insurgency" while correctly spelling the names of every other fleet?!Wonder if there's any room left in that airlock... ------------------ Cmdr. Guest aramike01 Posted March 14, 2000 Report Posted March 14, 2000 Darn it, Greg (cutting down on profanity due to wife's request), how come you had to turn this thread into a recruiting station? Anyway, not to be outdone, if you want a little bit of everything and some freedom, the Insurgency is where to turn! ------------------ Cmdr. Guest Xlogic Posted March 14, 2000 Report Posted March 14, 2000 Show me those fleet offers,.. I am still not quite sure which fleets do which jobs. And one final newbie question .. I thought i read somewhere in this forum that v2.0.9 has MP features ... So the newbie question: Does v2.0.9 have MP?And now that I have asked my last newbie question .. is it still going to say Newbie under my name? =) ------------------ Cmdr. Xlogic UCV Vagabond ICQ: 37781388 "Pick battles big enough to matter, yet small enough to win."
SpacePhish Posted March 14, 2000 Report Posted March 14, 2000 Nope, I wish 2.09 had MP. If it did you think half the fleet mentioned above would still exist? I don't think so . It's just a matter of time now, we the INSURGENCT!!!! will rule, we will be the only ones left standing in the end. If freedom is what your looking for then we are defiently your answer, believe me I used to be work on the other side, you have to sign NDAs just to use the bathroom! Trust me, you want to be with us when 'shake your bong bong' hit the fan.

Guest Posted March 15, 2000 Report Posted March 15, 2000 quote: Show me those fleet offers,.. I am still not quite sure which fleets do which jobs. We should make a link to this somewhere, every newblood here asks the same thing and there is no ONE place where this info can be found. To answer that:Each Fleet has its own Niche, they are:Orion Fleet: Combat (space, ground). In System Support Fleet (ISS) : Intelligence, Defence of Sol, Support to other Galcom Fleets.Insurgents: Terran Rebels fighting against the supposed "tyranny" of Earthcom and against Earth's "corruption" of the UFN (more details on the manual).Special Counter-Insurgency Division (SCID): Self-explanatory. This Fleet is under Earthcom control.Prime: The Main Galcom Fleet. Handles everything you can expect from a mighty starfleet.Earthcom: Earth's own military force. Supposed to be mainly a planet-side force, it also has quite a few assets in space. Wraith: Special Forces. quote:And one final newbie question .. I thought i read somewhere in this forum that v2.0.9 has MP features ... So the newbie question: Does v2.0.9 have MP?You should be running v2.09 anyway. It does not have MP. MP will come in the upcoming sequel, BC Millenium. Where did you read it had MP features? For the exact nature of each Fleet, visit their threads/websites. I try to avoid active recruiting, I like to give people a chance to look around. As a matter of fact, a Navy man came to my door today because I had inquired about what civilian jobs they offered..the dude had a RECRUITMENT form with him! Imagine that! A cup of coffee to him, and sent him back. From the look in his face I think he was getting sent out daily, poor kid ------------------ Flt. Cmdr. Supreme Cmdr Posted March 15, 2000 Report Posted March 15, 2000 Tac, for someone who still has not submitted a final fleet structure set of documents, you shouldn't be the one to talk about posting up to date info.Anyway, if someone wants to do a What Are Fleets & How Do I Join? type html document, I can post it on the fleet page. But of course, several months from now, I still won't get it because most of the 'volunteers' here, are all talk and rarely ever deliver.
