Guest Seeker_of_Mindkeep Posted March 24, 2001 Report Posted March 24, 2001 As a new commander I'm just not an impressive specimen. I've upgraded my Interplay version from 2.07 all the way through 2.09 . I've judicially used playmod and cheats to make myself more survivable in battle. Bristling with the newest technology and fully developed marines, I load my genetically superior marines into the transporter and search for days to find the one mouse-click or keystroke that will send them to a target. I've read all the manuals (the marines read them to because they're so bored just standing there) and I can not find a transporter icon or any such control. HEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!! Am I an idiot or just missing something ? ------------------ Bah ! The Generals ! They are many, but not good for much . . .
Papi Posted March 24, 2001 Report Posted March 24, 2001 Hi Seeker_of_Mindkeep, welcome to the Game!In order to deploy your marines through transporter you must go to tacops zoom to to the planet or moon >observe it >zoom to area you want your marines beamed in >move your cursor to upper left corner of display and activate command palette. Now you should see your marines in transporter >press "trans" and place the cross to where you want your marines deployed >press "deploy". That's it.It's all covered in manual BTW Retrieving is another piece of cake, RTM it's all there.Happy hunting commander!------------------ Cmdr Jason Cloud GCV Silver Lining, GENESIS (Moon) 26 Squadron Commander, Prime fleet, Gamma Wing, 2nd squadron External Beta Tester Battlecruiser Millennium
Guest Seeker_of_Mindkeep Posted March 27, 2001 Report Posted March 27, 2001 Thanks Papi ! That description made all the difference for me. I read the manual several times but I think I'm getting dense in my old age. I actually got a few marines down to the surface of Mars and had them stir things up for the insurgents. Gotta practice getting them out before the Bugnor hits. Rough life being a marine on my ship! (Preserves social security for me, though. . . ) ------------------ Bah ! The Generals ! They are many, but not good for much . . .
