Guest Gennon Posted April 18, 2001 Report Posted April 18, 2001 [Message Decrypted] This is the BC Amageddon, main life support is failing but the sys-engineers say we'll auxiliary will hold to GALCOMHQ we have suffered extensive damage to outer hull and the shields are offline .... [Message Decrypt ends]Ha! A great game, just what I wanted in a Space Sim. my question is are there patches for the freebie version still around. My main problem with it is for some reason after maybe 10-15min play it just goes blank and I 've got to reset the computer.

I don't think there are any patches for the public_release version. quote:My main problem with it is for some reason after maybe 10-15min play it just goes blank and I 've got to reset the computer. I played that version for about a year before I finally found the 2.07 CD version of BC3K, so I probably know just about every bug IN the version. I had this problem until I set my autoexec and config.sys as per the SC's instructions in the Troubleshoot FAQ: www.3000ad.com/files/bc3kfaq.html Other then that, I think the Pub_Ver in As Is. You'd be ALOT better off trying to find one of the 2.0x CD versions with all the kewl goodies!!!
Hector Socas Navarro Posted April 18, 2001 Report Posted April 18, 2001 Nah Get the BCM demo. You'll be blown away!
Kush Posted April 19, 2001 Report Posted April 19, 2001 Nah, get BCM, you'll really be blown away.(Of course, you will have to wait a couple of months, but hey, it'll be worth it, TRUST ME)
Guest Gennon Posted April 19, 2001 Report Posted April 19, 2001 Cool Thanxs for the info If I had the money or more like..the finance I would buy the new version... but hey when your paid by the government....err ahhh unemployed it gets a little hard Still if this download is anything to go buy I have no doubts that the next version will be galactically salubrious... and I will be ready when it gets to these shores.
Guest Shingen Posted April 19, 2001 Report Posted April 19, 2001 quote: Nah Get the BCM demo. You'll be blown away! That's true, but I don't think any BC3K collection is complete without both BC3K 2.0x AND BC:M!!
Spuzzum Posted May 24, 2001 Report Posted May 24, 2001 You know what'd be cool? If BC:M shipped with a nice shiny little BC3K 2.0 CD bundled inside...Heh, just kidding. ...Well, then again... I've been keeping tabs on the Battlecruiser series since '96, but haven't really been involved until now. And, I also missed out on a chance to get BC3K 2.0. It was in stores... and then it wasn't. If it had a 2.0 CD in it, I'd definitely buy it!(Well, I'm gonna buy it anyway, but that's beside the point. ) Just wishful thinking though. Besides, it'd cost that much more to make a bunch of CDs that half of the people would give away.
Epsilon 5 Posted May 24, 2001 Report Posted May 24, 2001 Hey, that's a great idea, burn the 2.09 version on the CD with BCM!
