Ral Posted April 30, 2001 Report Posted April 30, 2001 I load some marines into a shuttle. I land on the ground. I deploy them. They run around like the cute little fairies they are. Now, I'm thinking...Why? Tis nifty, but what purpose does it serve? So, I'll ask here. Why in the world would I need/want to deploy ground troops to planets?
Supreme Cmdr Posted April 30, 2001 Report Posted April 30, 2001 ...give them something to do and you'll see.
Guest Posted April 30, 2001 Report Posted April 30, 2001 I was going to tell you, but then I saw the 2nd comment, so....... Never mind!! lol
Guest Shingen Posted May 1, 2001 Report Posted May 1, 2001 So far, the only use I've found for deployed troops was for filling up body-bags. But that's prolly 'cause I ain't got theie AI's high enough, or I'm just plan clueless!
LordDavid Posted May 1, 2001 Report Posted May 1, 2001 Fill your transporter with marines, and in Tacops place a waypoint in an enemy base with orders to search and destroy. Deploy the marienes in the enemy base, and they will cause quite a bit of destruction
Emmett.hendrick Posted May 1, 2001 Report Posted May 1, 2001 Marines are good for taking out defences and stuff as said earlier drop them in the middle of a hostile base and let them do their stuff. Like wise you can stick some in an atv and drop em planetside that way. They can cause quite a bit of trouble for the defending base etc.......
