I just read about the KA game. All that sounds really cool, like you can see the damage done to ships, fly into nebulas and so on. How about in GCO or BC:M, are similar effects implemented, or can they be?

Nebula combat in Klingon Academy is probably the most annoying and least useful feature available. It drops your shields, and you can't target other ships.

But other ships seem to have an uncanny edge when it comes to targetting you (or the ships you're trying to protect).

Other than that, it's not a bad game, though I wouldn't consider it a necessarily good game either. Lots of features that were hacked in favour of an earlier release date (sound familiar? )...

(Actually, I wrote an Epinion on it. I don't even remember what I wrote. )

Yes I agree Nebula battles are annoying, but other ships don't have the advantage over you or what your protecting. They still have to be 10 feet away to be able to lock on to you and fire.

I got Starfleet Command II from my buddy this weekend. That game seems nice, you give orders to your ships, they fight, tell them which weapons to use. I especially liked the Phaser/Laser, torpedoes and other weapons animations and also the way ships change their appearance when they are crippled.
