How much do you think the Fan Base will

explode during the months after BCM goes gold?

And how many of the new fans will still be around for GCO?

PS.

What will happen to the beta forum when BCM goes gold? I think it would be cool to make it puplic, just so we can see whats been going on behind closed doors all this time

I think once it becomes a regular occurence after the 90 days to see BCM on a store shelf, the fans will start gravitating to this site rather quickly. Of course detractors will be lining up to register and the forums will be flooded with registrations good and bad alike.

Topics such as "BCM won't run" and "It ate my computer, stole my girlfriend and ran over my Dog" will start to appear.

Eventually it will die down and those newbies who end up here will begin to develop into fleet material.

So as in regards to how much? Perhaps 60 to 70% of the people who purchased a copy (no doubt those that read the manual) will find the website and check it out at least once.

I'm guessing that registrations will be lower, but uniform around that time.

Optimistically - we will almost double the amount of registrations we have now. Perhaps 3500 by the end of the 90 days with ebgames

Of course these are all guesses , educated or not. 78% of all statistics are drawn from thin air...

My belief though is that we will have an explosion *medium to big* depending on how you look at it, of fresh fish to play with.

Those are my thoughts - as to how many people who buy the game fit into the niche group - perhaps many of the registrations in my estimates will be to ask the questions like "how do I control my ship" "how do I arm weapons" "My bridgeviewer is damaged - how do I fix it?" "what is the first mission objective" etc.

And the response we all love :

RTFM

And what kind of voice talent is doing the voices for the crew members? (i.e. officers,

pilots, and bridge chatter)

YES I know that I would know this if I had played the demo but my comp sucks so

could someone enlighten me?

Is it much like the voice [talent ]

in BC3000ad?

I believe that the Beta Forum is going to remain private, because guess what?

We still have Multiplayer to do, then we will have GCO to do, and then who knows what else we'll have to do.

Nice thought, but I don't think it's gonna happen any time soon.

Then how about a "Best of Beta" special? You know, excerpts from beta on some goofy bugs, dumb mistakes, bad ideas, and some of the funnier banter that the SC may have called "whining" in the VCF? Sort of like crossing "TV's bloopers and practical jokes" with "Jaywalking" on the Tonight Show crossed with BCM. Hope someone understands what I mean...

I think the BCM fanbase is GOING TO EXPLODE!!! I am a newbie gamer who purchased the game in July and I can't wait. BTW - I've heard the demo's are great, just can't get them to run on my machine. Oh well, the game is going to be great!!!!

Officer: Sir, long range radar just detected a potential Blooper field.

Commander: Excellent. Nav, plot it on the chart for later report to the Supreme Commander.

Don't worry, I won't be forgetting this reminder!
