Hunted Posted October 15, 2001 Report Posted October 15, 2001 a while ago when i was younger i had a weird dream...earth had been destroyed and the colony ship i was on had deplyoed me as a fighter...alone...no wing support to fly around through the galaxy and comeback...it was free flight..it was beautiful i was diving through asteroid fields....through rings of planets...through the clouds of distant planets...it what i loved....ever since then i have been waiting for a game that has allowed me to do that...now i finally have it..thanks sc (yeah sorry guys it was a werid dream.....had been playing alien legacy all day, and was absolutely pass out tired...what can i say i was young :-))

People are use to Game Companies that will bend over and kiss your ass to get you to buy the games they make. They come here thinking that you are going to do the same and you don't. It blows their minds. They have never experienced that from a game maker. They complain to you, which makes you mad. You tell them "don't buy my game" and ban them from the site. Now they are shot back to when they were 4 years old and daddy told them no. They now have no other option but to find another place to throw their tantrum. So they end up on usenet to do it. You make it worse by showing up and belittling them some more. You can't expect them to do anything else. Take it like a man? I have seen a "MAN" who is in his forties get mad because he did not get his way. He would then begin finger painting. Not with paint but with that smelly stuff that comes from a persons rear end. All over his cell. You might be thinking he is crazy. No, he is a cold blooded killer. He just has no other way of proving his point. This is what you are going to have to deal with. The easiest way to say is that people are spoiled and expect everything they ask for. They don't want to hear anything else.

Emmett.hendrick Posted October 17, 2001 Report Posted October 17, 2001 I agree whole heartedly, after working for many years(too many) on various helpdesks and stuff I have come to the conclusion that people in general are completely unwilling to do much(if anything) themselves. They will moan, whinge and generally kick up shit to get their own way and all I can say is my hat is off to SC for telling them all where to go. Often times i would have loved to tell a user/caller to F*** off and do it themselves but if I did I'd get fired and I can't afford that.I envy you SC. Keep up the good work.

If people could focus on the game and not SC's reputation (sorry if I sound insulting, I don't feel that way) they would be better for it. I stood by Battlecrusier because I loved the series, despite it's previous instability. I could care less about what some people believe about it's creator's reputation (sorry again).
