The only update which I will include in the first patch are some appendix HTML files containing some changes that Gallion put in (he forgot a file) after the game went Gold and some other changes/corrections I had to make (similar to those I made in Gallion's original files).The appendix on Nova's site is obsolete.

I've got the BCM Tutorial (which uses the demo missions which are also Instant Action missions from the full game), the (now obsolete) BCM Appendix, and the old BC3k Manual (which is out-dated by the combined BCM Tutorial and Appendix anyway). See the Orion Fleet RP Source (you can just call it The Source), www.rp.orionfleet.com , run by me.Rip, go check out the RPG Discussion Forums, and see some of the epic RPs like Pre-Emptive strike or Into The Fire. Good, long reads. If I had more time, they'd already be archived by now, on single HTML pages, instead of several pages per part (with up to 6 pages, and up to 5 parts/chapters/whatever you want to call them). It'll take you a while to read some of them, but the quality feels like a good book (it all depends on the people (authors) involved).

I also found a link to the pre release VCF that worked last night and have saved it on my laptop since I have yet to read all of it.I wish there was going to be an electronic manual available, but I respect SCs decision not to more than I can put into words. Of course if more designers had the determination he does to do things the way they want I probably wouldn't be able to hold a job since I'd be playing all the time.

Man I remember back in BC3K i just printed the entire thing out.. Then hole punched it and put it into a binder (which took replacing the paper 4 or 5 times in my printer)---which is now sitting at the bottom of a file cabinet where I store 'obsolete' computer parts..

Guest Posted October 30, 2001 Report Posted October 30, 2001 You ought to see my BC3000AD manual, 3" ring binder, title on the side, each chapter has a small marker that I can just reach in and pull it open to that section, all the appendices are in there, additions, pictures, geez, whatever I found that I thought should be kept, I shoved into this 3 ring binder.It's my BC3000AD EVERYTHING Binder!!

Tyrn Posted October 30, 2001 Report Posted October 30, 2001 Mine was nicely bound using a manual binder. Now the pages are horridly dogged eared and the binding is only holding in a couple of places. It now holds a place of honor on my bookshelf and I don't really dare touch the thing for fear of having it fall apart on me!
